She is an alumna of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego, California, where she received her Master's of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine as well as her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Poulin has completed an intensive internship program at the Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and the Beijing Massage Hospital while pursuing her Master’s degree.
