How do you want to feel on a daily basis? I can help guide you in right direction. As an acupuncturist, I focus on emotional health. The basis of my work is about moving energy, and releasing the energetic stagnation of negative emotions such as fear, anger, grief or stress. Blockages that could be preventing you from being filled with love and joy. Most of our physical pain stems from an emotional origin. Acupuncture sessions will help release blockages that could be the source of your disease. Treating the root creates a cascade of positive side effects in your life.

About:
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, disease contains two parts analogous to the roots and branches of a tree. The symptoms are like branches, and if you only treat them, the same roots will soon grow the same symptoms again. To effectively heal, one must address the root cause of the of illness so the tree may grow healthy branches. Additionally, two people may both experience a similar disease but have very different underlying root causes. Likewise, two others may have very different diseases but have the same root cause. At Rooted Medicine, Andrea Hingst L.Ac. MSOM, draws from experiences in integrated hospitals and private practice to combine traditional Chinese therapies with modern functional medicine to identify each individual’s unique foundational imbalance to heal from the roots up.

About:
If you've been wanting to try acupuncture but are squeamish around needles, then Japanese acupuncture is a great way to start. The Japanese variety utilizes finer needles - barely thicker than a human hair. Instead of relying on a chart, more emphasis is placed on touch and palpation to find the correct insertion points. We also do front and back treatments to promote balance of the whole body. I understand the importance of spending extra time with my patients so that we all receive the love and care we deserve.
