I love doing medical acupuncture and am pleased to open my practice, Huffman Clinic, PLLC, in Davenport, Iowa, where I can serve clients in the Iowa and Illinois Quad Cities and the surrounding area. I bring with me 35 years of practicing traditional western medicine in family practice and then radiology. To prepare for my practice dedicated to medical acupuncture, I did intensive training with Dr. Tsun-Nin Lee at the Academy of Pain Research. I find the integration of concepts from traditional and modern forms of acupuncture with Western medical training enables a more comprehensive approach to health care.
I appreciate the opportunity to serve clients by assisting them in achieving and maintaining wellness. My acupuncture treatments include the traditional needling, electrical stimulation, auricular stimulation and moxibustion. To this I add the modern acupuncture technologies of laser, infrared heat, and measuring energies through computer software. It gives me great pleasure to alleviate pain and illness using these modalities that are free of side-effects. I also encourage my patients to come in for regular energy readings so we can maintain balanced energies to support ongoing good health and a strong immune system.

I am an Acupuncturist and Herbalist accustomed to treating a wide variety of conditions ranging from chronic and acute pain, to allergies, to hormonal imbalances associated with menopause and autoimmune disorders, to palliative care for cancer patients, as well as insomnia and anxiety. My main goal is to provide thorough, yet gentle patient-centered care regardless of age or ailment.
I utilize a variety of techniques in each session such as Gua Sha, Cupping, Auriculotherapy, Electroacupuncture, Moxabustion, TuiNa bodywork, Passive stretching, Eastern nutritional and lifestyle advice, and herbal therapy.

Charleston Acupucnture is a small, privately owned clinic in the heart of downtown Charleston, SC. We specialize in fertility and women's health, gastrointestinal dysfunction, headaches, allergies and musculoskeletal pain. We also work closely in conjunction with Khouri Chiropractic and Palmetto Primary Care Physicians providing optimal health and synergy to our medical practices.

The methods used at my practice are aimed toward giving the body synergism—not just treating symptoms temporarily or numbing pain with numerous medications. I strive to help the body heal itself from within, by treating the root and not just the branch of a problem. I use a wide variety of modalities that best serve the individual needs of the patient: acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, herbal formulas, Tui Na (Asian Bodywork), and Kinesiotaping. These methods can be integrated with Western approaches as well. Your treatment will be a partnership: discussed, understood, and agreed upon. While a particular procedure may be indicated for specific purposes, I believe the path to health is best navigated complemented by knowledge and awareness of a patient’s needs and goals.
I am a diplomate of the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I received my Master’s degree from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, one of the most respected acupuncture schools in the United States. My coursework involved 3,000 hours of study in acupuncture, Chinese herbs and herbal formulas, as well as Western medical training, including over 900 hours of supervised clinical training.
