may I take a little of your time to tell you a little of my story? If you answered yes, read on. My introduction to acupuncture was due to a traumatic accident about twenty-two years ago. I injured my left neck/shoulder/arm and sciatic nerve in 1993 so I could not work as an EMT because I could not lift any thing heavier than a loaf of bread. After trying allopathic medicine for a year, the doctors told me that I would never heal so just learn to live with what left arm and leg movement remained. That's when I decided to try massage school. My injuries did start to heal with daily treatments over a years time but I wanted more pain relief and more strength in my arm and leg so I did more research and decided to start acupuncture school. That turned out to be the best decision of my life. Not only did my left arm and leg get well and pain free, (the muscles that had atrophied returned to their pre injury size) and best of all my pain was gone! The biggest blessing of all was that I found my life's passion. I became an acupuncturist and herbalist to share this healing art with my family and friends. I wake up every day and look forward to serving my community as their favorite health care provider. If you are in my area you are welcome to stop by and visit. Michael Y. Ng, L.Ac., Dipl. Acupuncture, studied Acupuncture at the Swedish School of Acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy at the Eastern School of Oriental Medicine, and received classical training from world master Jeffrey Yuen. He comes from a family of Chinese medical doctors and follows his family tradition in Chinese medicine.
Michael cares for a variety of patients of all ages and needs for both acute and chronic health concerns. He is dedicated to the patient’s needs as he employs a variety of modalities in addition to acupuncture including cupping, guasha and moxabustion, as well as employing Chinese herbs. He is licensed in both New Jersey and New York.
In addition to his acupuncture and Eastern medicine education and training, Michael holds an M.B.A from Duke University.
Michael has appointment availability during weekdays and evenings as well as on Saturday mornings.
