Boston Chinese Acupuncture was founded by Li Zheng and Changhong Zhou, PhD, licensed acupuncturists and herbalists. Trained in China at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine under world-renowned practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), they have over 60 years of combined experience using acupuncture and Chinese herbs to treat a variety of difficult and chronic diseases. Dr. Christine Adamo is an integrative oncology specialist. She practices functional medicine, herbal medicine, nutrition, natural supplementation, and acupuncture. Her training is in internal medicine and her passion is in integrative oncology, providing specialized care for patients with cancer. She brings relief to patients struggling with the side effects of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and surgery and provides post-treatment and survivorship care. She also offers holistic assistance to patients who choose to bypass conventional cancer care.

In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Adamo teaches continued education courses for healthcare providers. She enjoys public speaking and loves to educate others on integrative medicine, oncology, and general health and wellness.

Our practitioner Dr. Jafari, takes the mystery out of his recommended treatment options by educating and empowering patients with knowledge that allows them to be a partner in their own health and wellness. A typical new patient appointment reviews health history, chief concerns, and a treatment plan that makes sense for the patient's current health and lifestyle. Caitlin is a board certified acupuncturist, clinical herbalist, and is a skilled and intuitive practitioner. She specializes in women’s health and the treatment of fertility.

Caitlin graduated from a three-year program with a Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Bastyr University, and is nationally board certified. She has received additional training in women’s health and fertility, pediatric care, and facial rejuvenation.

The power of combining acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapies with western medicine yields incredible results. Caitlin is fascinated by bringing the 3,000 year old Eastern medicine into contemporary medical times. Caitlin believes that acupuncture and Eastern medicine are key components of today’s health care system. She works well with allied health professionals and would love to be a member of your health care team.

Caitlin also works at Bastyr University’s Chinese herbal dispensary as a shift supervisor. Teaching the students a hands on experience with the raw, granular and patent herbal formulas, as well as how to run and operate a successful herbal dispensary for their future practices.

In her practice, Caitlin sees patients coming in for a wide variety of symptoms. However, her expertise and passions lie in treating women’s health and wellness, from fertility with IUI/IVF support, pregnancy support, postpartum, stress, insomnia, fatigue, chronic and acute pain, headaches, to digestive health.
