As an acupuncturist and hypnotherapist, my goal is to act as a catalyst for positive change in every patient. I specialize in a unique treatment that I refer to as "hypnoacupuncture," which is a combination of acupuncture and hypnotherapy. Mrs. Sparks is nationally certified by NCCAOM and is licensed to practice acupuncture by the Ohio and Kentucky Medical Boards. Mrs. Sparks has over 26 years experience in acupuncture and medical research. She specializes in pain relief, including neck, shoulder, back, and joint pain, frozen shoulder, sciatica, headaches, migraines, painful menses, stroke paralysis, Bell's palsy, depression, anxiety, insomnia, hypertension, gastrointestinal issues, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, OB/Gyn disorders.
Mrs. Sparks was trained as a physician in China in both western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, with a specialty in acupuncture. She graduated from Yunan university of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1985, and then completed 2 years of advanced acupuncture training. Early in Mrs. Sparks' career she worked under the supervision of Zunxin Guan, one of foremost acupuncture experts in Yunan, China. Later on Mrs. Sparks was a principal clinical researcher running projects funded by China's Bureau of Traditional Chinese medicine and material medica. Mrs. Sparks also worked seven years at the University of Cincinnati College of medicine in cardiology research. Overall she has been involved in Acupuncture practice, Chinese herbal medicine, and biomedical research more than 26 years.

For most chronic conditions the majority of patients should see very noticeable changes within 6-10 treatments. Some patients see changes faster while others see results taking slightly longer. You can also expect lifestyle advice, dietary advice and recipes to help address chronic health concerns. For some patients herbal medicine will be incorporated into the treatment to improve results and strengthen the effects of the acupuncture treatment.
You can also expect honesty. If Ira believes he cannot help you or if treatments are not offering the results expected he will do his best to find you the proper referral to meet your needs. All patients can find relief for what ails them. Ira will do his absolute best to help you. If his is unable to he will find someone that can.

I am also a Registered Nurse with 23 years of clinical experience in local NH hospitals in various specialties such as cardiac, orthopedic, acute and chronic disease, psychology, maternity and preventative care.
I completed my extensive education and training in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine culminating in a Masters Degree in Acupuncture through the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) in Newton, MA.
As an Intern, I practiced Acupuncture at New England School of Acupuncture Teaching Center Clinic, Boston Medical Center Family outpatient center, Winchester Hospital Family Medical Center, Malden Family Medicine Center and Element Care in Lynn, Mass. Margaret Reiland holds a Bachelors of Nutrition and a Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine (Chicago, IL/Racine WI). She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Illinois. She has studied animal shiatsu in the United Kingdom, as well as studying with Diana Thompson, author of Acupuncture Point Charts for Horses. She has also taken post-graduate, specialized training in animal acupuncture.
