Carmen E. Jiménez is a bilingual (Spanish) Holistic Medicine Practitioner with a Master’s in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University (Los Angeles, CA) and a Bachelor's of Arts from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). She is licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health as a Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and is qualified to provide Acupoint Injection Therapy and is certified Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for AcupunctureOriental Medicine (NCCAOM). In addition to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Carmen has trained in various advanced techniques in Functional Physiology and Bio-Energetic Medicine. These include Total Body Modification, Natural Healing Systems and Functional Nutrition, to name a few.
Prior to becoming a Holistic Medicine Practitioner, Carmen managed and helped develop clinical trials for pharmaceuitcal companies, domestic and internationally. Damian McCleod is a NY state licensed acupuncturist and has a Masters of Science Degree in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM). Damian’s introduction to the actual practice of acupuncture came after having undergone his second reconstructive knee surgery. At the suggestion of his fellow martial artist and graduate of PCOM, he started receiving acupuncture treatments at the college’s clinic. After having first hand proof of the power of acupuncture, he dedicated himself to the pursuit of Chinese Medicine.
A major influence in his studies came from the martial arts, which he has been a practitioner of since 1993. Damian currently works with martial artist and other athletes in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, with a focus knee pain.
Part of Damian’s philosophy on medicine stems from his undergraduate education; he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. His view is, understanding the complex is a matter of having a firm grasp of the fundamentals.
