As a nationally board certified diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, I offer both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in my practice. I use Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture in my treatments as welll as Shakuju, a non-insertive Japanese style of treatment that is great for people who may not be fond of needles. Grace is a licensed California State Board acupuncturist and herbalist. She graduated with honors from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of southern California’s most academically challenging programs, where she received her master’s degree in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has been a resident of the Conejo Valley since 1988 and has worked for both western and alternative health care practices throughout the community. Lisa Blake practices using both Chinese and Japanese style acupuncture as well as Chinese Herbs. She received her Masters of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture and is nationally Board certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Lisa is also certified in Auricular Acupuncture through the Auriculotherapy Certification Institute, Inc. Lisa studied Biology and Chemistry to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and also has a Master of Business Administration from Averett University.
Prior to attending acupuncture school Lisa worked for almost 20 years in the Federal Reserve System, and during that time realized that she wanted to spend her time working in a profession that could touch more people’s lives in a way that they could really appreciate. Then through her own health challenges she discovered acupuncture and the rest is history. Lisa’s health journey has given her great insight into how people can feel when there is a health challenge and can no longer do the things they love to do. She believes that the human body is truly amazing and has the innate intelligence to heal itself when it is gently brought into balance and given the proper nutrients and movement.
