Gina Butler received her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree at the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine in Seattle, Washington. She is nationally board certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the State of Missouri to practice acupuncture. After completing her training, she began her practice at the Acupuncture and Wellness Center, P.S. which is currently one of the largest Chinese medical clinics in the United States. She has also practiced in Oregon and now Missouri where she resides with her husband and son.
Gina has continued to deepen and extend her knowledge of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine through classes, apprenticeships and personal study. Since 2001, she has extensively studied with two renowned experts in the field of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine: Dr. Richard Teh Fu Tan and Dr. Jimmy Zhang Wei-Yin Chang. Gina specializes in the advanced style of acupuncture known as the Balance Method that only uses distal points to treat the affected area. She also has been personally trained by Dr. Jimmy Zhang Wei-Yin Chang in the ancient art of Chinese Pulse Diagnosis and is dedicated to mastering this lost art. Gina is able to effectively treat patients by drawing from Dr. Chang’s deep wealth of knowledge of herbal medicine and utilizing the highly effective Balance Method for acupuncture.
