I am a Licensed Acupuncturist by the New Hampshire Board of Acupuncture, and board certified Diplomate of Acupuncture by the NCCAOM. I am also a Registered Nurse with 23 years of clinical experience in local NH hospitals in various specialties such as cardiac, orthopedic, acute and chronic disease, psychology, maternity and preventative care.
I completed my extensive education and training in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine culminating in a Masters Degree in Acupuncture through the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) in Newton, MA.
As an Intern, I practiced Acupuncture at New England School of Acupuncture Teaching Center Clinic, Boston Medical Center Family outpatient center, Winchester Hospital Family Medical Center, Malden Family Medicine Center and Element Care in Lynn, Mass. I love doing medical acupuncture and am pleased to open my practice, Huffman Clinic, PLLC, in Davenport, Iowa, where I can serve clients in the Iowa and Illinois Quad Cities and the surrounding area. I bring with me 35 years of practicing traditional western medicine in family practice and then radiology. To prepare for my practice dedicated to medical acupuncture, I did intensive training with Dr. Tsun-Nin Lee at the Academy of Pain Research. I find the integration of concepts from traditional and modern forms of acupuncture with Western medical training enables a more comprehensive approach to health care.
