Tara Akuna is a Registered Acupuncturist practicing beside the majestic seaside in West Vancouver. She graduated from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver and received her diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which includes Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Tara has a special interest in sports acupuncture, nutrition, autoimmune diseases, stress related disorders, and pain and tension. He runs private practices from Breathe Bristol, and the Natural Health Clinic, as well as a low-cost clinic from the same venue. He also works as an associate acupuncturist at Penny Brohn Cancer Care's Treatment Support Clinic.
Tom began his training in Chinese medicine in 2004, embarking on a 3 year full-time degree course at the University of Westminster. During his training, he treated the public in the University of Westminster Polyclinic, and the NHS Gateway clinic in Clapham.
He now enjoys treating a wide variety of patients and conditions, and regularly attends advanced training courses. Jennifer E. Winer L.Ac. graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Minnesota State University at Mankato in 1998. She worked in the financial field before returning to school to study Oriental medicine in 2000. Jennifer made the decision to pursue a career in Oriental medicine after experiencing chronic pain and trying all of the traditional therapies available without any success. Dr. Alexander J. Hou, M.S., D.O.M., A.P., graduated with a Master of Science degree from Florida College of Integrative Medicine earning his Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Physician designation in the state of Florida.
