I am passionate about sharing the unique benefits of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with my clients. My goal is to promote a happy and balanced lifestyle, free of pain for all those I treat. I have always been inspired by my Chinese heritage but my journey into TCM truly began after a serious motor vehicle accident left me with serious injuries that only began to heal after a course of acupuncture treatments. After making a full recovery, I began formal studies at Pacific Rim College, graduating with my Diploma of Acupuncture and subsequently obtaining my acupuncture license with the Canadian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia.
My areas of special interest include: neurological conditions, geriatric care, acute and chronic pain management, and sports medicine. I am continually pursuing higher learning in these areas and receive ongoing training to ensure the best results for my clients. Dr. Kimberly Burger began attending acupuncture school in 1994 and graduated from The Academy of Advanced Complimentary Medicine in 1998 with a PhD in acupuncture and homeopathic medicine. Dr. Burger received clinical hours attending an acupuncture school in Columbo, SriLanka. With additional training in Dr. Tans Balance Method, Master Tung style and theory of acupuncture, interning with Dr. Chow Chen, certification in Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture and Macular Degeneration treatments to reverse and prevent continued degeneration of advancing eye diseases, Dr. Burger has a well rounded education with 29 years of clinical experience in the Chinese medical field of Traditional and Pre-Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2011 Dr. Burger moved her practice to beautiful Maui, Hawaii and was licensed in Hawaii in 2015 and has been serving the west side of Maui in Lahaina. In November 2023 after the Lahaina fires, Dr. Burger relocated her practice to Wailea and has added HBOT to her new location.
Dr. Burger uses Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) to enhance and expedite the overall results of acupuncture treatments as well as to eliminate inflammation, pain and heal from chronic diseases including long haul covid and vaccine injury.
