I have been interested in Oriental Medicine for over 20 years and have incorporated acupressure, shiatsu and acupuncture in my previous massage and chiropractic practices. Since finishing my studies at the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute and moving to Glens Falls, I have concentrated on acupuncture although I draw on my previous experience to help patients. I feel that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is more than just acupuncture but a way of life that includes exercise, diet and mental outlook. Acupuncture is a powerful tool that allows people to deal with the stresses of everyday living: work, family, aging relatives, what's going on in the world. Addressing all these demands takes a toll; TCM and acupuncture gives people a mechanism to heal themselves and a place where they can begin to bring balance back into their lives.

Lee Schwalb, a seasoned NYC acupuncturist licensed in New York State, also holds a board certification as a Chinese Herbalist from the New York Institute of Chinese Herbology. With a Master of Science in Traditional Acupuncture Medicine from the New York College of Health Professions, Lee boasts over two decades of hands-on experience in addressing a broad range of health issues. His education spanned four years and included more than 2,800 hours dedicated to studying acupuncture, herbal medicine, tai chi, and several adjunct therapies such as Tui na (Chinese massage), Eastern nutrition, laser therapy, electric stimulation, and auriculotherapy. Lee enhances his practice with additional healing modalities including Kambo detox therapy, PEMF therapy, and sound healing.

Lee’s approach to treatment is holistic, considering each patient's physical and mental health comprehensively. He evaluates the patient’s overall constitution, diet, and lifestyle to identify what is called a “pattern of disharmony.” Following a thorough initial assessment, Lee crafts a personalized treatment plan that may integrate acupuncture, herbal medicine, aromatherapy, dietary adjustments, nutritional supplements, and lifestyle changes.

With his extensive clinical background, Lee has aided a diverse clientele, helping alleviate conditions ranging from idiopathic pain and acute injuries to stress, anxiety, digestive and respiratory ailments, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, skin issues, allergies, and reproductive health challenges. Mrs. Sparks is nationally certified by NCCAOM and is licensed to practice acupuncture by the Ohio and Kentucky Medical Boards. Mrs. Sparks has over 26 years experience in acupuncture and medical research. She specializes in pain relief, including neck, shoulder, back, and joint pain, frozen shoulder, sciatica, headaches, migraines, painful menses, stroke paralysis, Bell's palsy, depression, anxiety, insomnia, hypertension, gastrointestinal issues, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, OB/Gyn disorders.

Mrs. Sparks was trained as a physician in China in both western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, with a specialty in acupuncture. She graduated from Yunan university of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1985, and then completed 2 years of advanced acupuncture training. Early in Mrs. Sparks' career she worked under the supervision of Zunxin Guan, one of foremost acupuncture experts in Yunan, China. Later on Mrs. Sparks was a principal clinical researcher running projects funded by China's Bureau of Traditional Chinese medicine and material medica. Mrs. Sparks also worked seven years at the University of Cincinnati College of medicine in cardiology research. Overall she has been involved in Acupuncture practice, Chinese herbal medicine, and biomedical research more than 26 years.
