Tyler trained under Jeffrey Yuen — an 88th-generation Daoist priest and one of the foremost classical Chinese medicine authorities in the world — and holds a Bachelor of Science from Brown University and a Master's degree from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville.
