When working with Ira you should expect real and lasting results. All patients will be given treatment to address their main symptom as well treatment to address the underlying cause of those symptoms. A native of Peabody, MA, Elizabeth graduated from Mt. Ida College in 1986 and Lesley University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Art Therapy.
After several years working in public and private sectors, Elizabeth witnessed the positive impacts of acupuncture and decided to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She graduated from the oldest school in the United States, the New England School of Acupuncture and is an NCCAOM Diplomate licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In addition, Elizabeth pursued advanced acupuncture training in Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture protocol (“cosmetic acupuncture”) and Master Tung Acupuncture Style that advances patients recovery with minimal needles to bring about maximum response.
The Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture practitioner believes holistic beauty is achieved by working on the inside to most effectively change the outside appearance, allowing innate beauty to emerge. Cosmetic acupuncture system is often referred to as an “acupuncture facelift” or “Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture”, but it is much more than a “cosmetic” procedure. It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help renew your skin’s appearance while promoting a healthy mind and body. I also use the Bioscan MSA device, a computerized analysis measuring frequencies from acupuncture meridians on the body. A flat probe is used on the fingers and toes to obtain these readings. Since the acupuncture meridians have pathways to organs alongside the nervous system, we can use this method to reach our goal: a balanced system that responds appropriately to stress and increased health.
A reading of 50 indicates that the organ/meridan is balanced. Readings above or below 50 indicate that a chronic or inflammatory process going on with the organ/meridian.
