Wellspring Physician Acupuncture is a Family Practice based Classical Chinese Medical practice that offers care to children and adults.
Classical Chinese medicine considers multiple aspects of a person when identifying root causes of an illness or promoting health. In addition to providing treatment, our practice strives to provide extensive education on the principles and theory of Chinese medicine. Considerable time will be spent discussing the approach of the treatment as well as the Chinese thinking behind healthful living, disease prevention, self-care, exercise and dietary practice. I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Arizona. I began studying TCM theory at The Won Institute in Philadelphia, PA before transitioning forward into the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL.
My primary lens to treatment is Five Element, which focuses on healing through a re-alignment with authenticity and integrity. Globally we are witnessing the environmental repercussions of nature being overtaxed. Five Element explores the idea that the nature around us is also reflected inside us. It asks with consideration where our individual constitutions are over-functioning or compromised and redirects energy to restore balance.
I am a white practitioner utilizing a wellness practice outside of my culture. I decided to pursue acupuncture professionally after experiencing the depth of its influence. My offering is one of attunement, curiosity, thoughtfulness, and presence. My intention is to support clients in experiencing greater connectivity and peace inside their bodies and lives. Kim E. Reid is a Florida licensed acupuncturist, having graduated from The Atlantic Institute for Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine. She is also licensed to practice Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy in the state of Florida.
In addition to her years of standard clinical experience, Kim was lucky enough to be chosen to practice Acupuncture internationally while working for Carnival Cruise Lines and Holland American Cruise Lines. "The most amazing thing about working on the ships, was that I was able to treat a wide variety of diseases. Jamie Koonce, MS is the only real acupuncturist in Hot Springs and surrounding areas. She will come to you at your home, workplace, or special event in Hot Springs, Hot Springs Village, or Glenwood.
