Our lead acupuncturist and Medical Director, John Rybak connects 3000 years of medicine to the scientific, evidence based medical model we should all expect. That all translates to less Pain, fewer Injuries, reduced Stress, eliminated Allergies, better Sleep, and a clear head so that you can thrive.

I have been interested in Oriental Medicine for over 20 years and have incorporated acupressure, shiatsu and acupuncture in my previous massage and chiropractic practices. Since finishing my studies at the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute and moving to Glens Falls, I have concentrated on acupuncture although I draw on my previous experience to help patients. I feel that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is more than just acupuncture but a way of life that includes exercise, diet and mental outlook. Acupuncture is a powerful tool that allows people to deal with the stresses of everyday living: work, family, aging relatives, what's going on in the world. Addressing all these demands takes a toll; TCM and acupuncture gives people a mechanism to heal themselves and a place where they can begin to bring balance back into their lives.

I enjoy using my experience to work with patients so they can enjoy living and be less burdened down by the demands of their life.

Alisa is a mother of two girls, a Licensed Acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese Medicine as well as an IBCLC (Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant) with over 15 years of experience supporting families. She owns PUSH San Diego an integrative health clinic that specializes in infertility, prenatal, and postpartum care offering alternative options such as acupuncture, cupping, lactation support, pelvic steaming and much more. She empowers expectant couples by educating and equipping them with natural and integrative health care options.

I have practiced in the Healing Arts for 40 years.

My career began as a Registered Nurse at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where I specialized in Med/Surgical nursing and later Psychiatric nursing when I received my Masters Degree in Nursing at the University of Maryland. My graduate degree in Nursing was a natural first step into the holistic approach and philosophy of my graduate degree in Chinese Medicine. I blend my vast nursing background into my acupuncture treatments as I treat a wide variety of physical and emotional/spiritual issues.

I have effectively treated anxiety, sleep disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, depression, skin disorders, fibromyalgia, menopausal and menstrual disorders, TMJ, infertility and back/neck/shoulder pain, just to name few.

I hold a Masters degree in Acupuncture and I am Licensed and Nationally Certified with NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine – Public Protection Through Quality Credentials).

The learning process is ongoing as I delve deeper into this 5,000 year old medical art form in my own treatment room. My patients benefit from my years of academic studies, my acupuncture treatment experience, and my life experience as a wife and a mother of two teenagers.
