may I take a little of your time to tell you a little of my story? If you answered yes, read on. My introduction to acupuncture was due to a traumatic accident about twenty-two years ago. I injured my left neck/shoulder/arm and sciatic nerve in 1993 so I could not work as an EMT because I could not lift any thing heavier than a loaf of bread. After trying allopathic medicine for a year, the doctors told me that I would never heal so just learn to live with what left arm and leg movement remained. That's when I decided to try massage school. My injuries did start to heal with daily treatments over a years time but I wanted more pain relief and more strength in my arm and leg so I did more research and decided to start acupuncture school. That turned out to be the best decision of my life. Not only did my left arm and leg get well and pain free, (the muscles that had atrophied returned to their pre injury size) and best of all my pain was gone! The biggest blessing of all was that I found my life's passion. I became an acupuncturist and herbalist to share this healing art with my family and friends. Marcelle is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the State of California. She graduated from Yo San University (Los Angeles, CA) in 2015 with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and is currently enrolled at Yo San to complete her Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Since 2001 Marcelle has been a professional bodyworker, beginning as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) she spent the better part of a decade working in some of Southern California's premiere spas and wellness centers, and had the privilege of teaching Swedish massage for three years. She also studied a variety of vibrational healing techniques such as Reiki and Medical QiGong. Marcelle's background in bodywork and massage pairs well with acupuncture, and she is very experienced in a variety of techniques to help you stop chasing pain. Karen is a graduate of the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago and received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine.
