Charleston Acupucnture is a small, privately owned clinic in the heart of downtown Charleston, SC. Dr. Christine Adamo is an integrative oncology specialist. She practices functional medicine, herbal medicine, nutrition, natural supplementation, and acupuncture. Her training is in internal medicine and her passion is in integrative oncology, providing specialized care for patients with cancer. She brings relief to patients struggling with the side effects of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and surgery and provides post-treatment and survivorship care. She also offers holistic assistance to patients who choose to bypass conventional cancer care.

In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Adamo teaches continued education courses for healthcare providers. She enjoys public speaking and loves to educate others on integrative medicine, oncology, and general health and wellness.

Abigail obtained her Bachelors of Science from the University of Maine. She continued on to earn her Masters in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture. Abigail is trained in both Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles, Orthopedic acupuncture, and Shakuju. With this range of treatment styles, she is able to meet a broad range of patient needs. Whether you have a stubborn musculoskeletal complaint, or are overcome with anxiety, whether you are a seasoned acupuncture patient or are terrified of needles, she will be able to offer you a variety of treatment plan options (even non-insertive techniques!).

With a passion for further education, Abigail is currently working towards her Masters of Science in Pain Research, Education, and Policy through Tufts University School of Medicine. Using Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, lifestyle modification, and her Western medical training, Abigail supports the release and management of both physical and emotional pain.
