Jessica is licensed to practice acupuncture by the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is a diplomate of Oriental medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Jessica is a graduate of the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New York Chiropractic College where she received her master's degree. She is experienced in treating patients at private clinics, in hospitals and detoxification facilities. In addition, Jessica completed an internship at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China. Prior to joining Carriage House Chiropractic and Acupuncture, Jessica maintained a private practice in Middletown, Pennsylvania.

may I take a little of your time to tell you a little of my story? If you answered yes, read on. My introduction to acupuncture was due to a traumatic accident about twenty-two years ago. I injured my left neck/shoulder/arm and sciatic nerve in 1993 so I could not work as an EMT because I could not lift any thing heavier than a loaf of bread. After trying allopathic medicine for a year, the doctors told me that I would never heal so just learn to live with what left arm and leg movement remained. That's when I decided to try massage school. My injuries did start to heal with daily treatments over a years time but I wanted more pain relief and more strength in my arm and leg so I did more research and decided to start acupuncture school. That turned out to be the best decision of my life. Not only did my left arm and leg get well and pain free, (the muscles that had atrophied returned to their pre injury size) and best of all my pain was gone! The biggest blessing of all was that I found my life's passion. I became an acupuncturist and herbalist to share this healing art with my family and friends. I have been interested in Oriental Medicine for over 20 years and have incorporated acupressure, shiatsu and acupuncture in my previous massage and chiropractic practices. Since finishing my studies at the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute and moving to Glens Falls, I have concentrated on acupuncture although I draw on my previous experience to help patients. I feel that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is more than just acupuncture but a way of life that includes exercise, diet and mental outlook. Acupuncture is a powerful tool that allows people to deal with the stresses of everyday living: work, family, aging relatives, what's going on in the world. Addressing all these demands takes a toll; TCM and acupuncture gives people a mechanism to heal themselves and a place where they can begin to bring balance back into their lives.
