Wellness One of South Bergen is pleased to have two advanced acupuncturists on staff - Michael Y. Ng, L.Ac., Dipl. Acupuncture and Shannon DiCarlo, MS RN LAc, Dipl. OM.

Michael Y. Ng, L.Ac., Dipl. Acupuncture, studied Acupuncture at the Swedish School of Acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy at the Eastern School of Oriental Medicine, and received classical training from world master Jeffrey Yuen. He comes from a family of Chinese medical doctors and follows his family tradition in Chinese medicine.

Michael cares for a variety of patients of all ages and needs for both acute and chronic health concerns. He is dedicated to the patient’s needs as he employs a variety of modalities in addition to acupuncture including cupping, guasha and moxabustion, as well as employing Chinese herbs. He is licensed in both New Jersey and New York.

In addition to his acupuncture and Eastern medicine education and training, Michael holds an M.B.A from Duke University.

Michael has appointment availability during weekdays and evenings as well as on Saturday mornings.

Xin Zhang Zeck, M.S., L.Ac, is a licensed Acupuncturist who was born into a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, Xin has been classically trained in traditional Chinese acupuncture (TCM), Japanese Kiiko Style acupuncture (KM), Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM) as well as in Chinese Herbal medicine formulation.
Born and raised in China, Xin graduated college with a degree in Broadcasting and went on to host a highly popular Chinese television show that addressed health and education.
Upon arriving in America, Xin continued her postgraduate studies in Manhattan at the Tri-state College of Acupuncture where she obtained her master of Acupuncture Degree and Chinese Herbal program.
Xin has since obtained training and certificates in Oncological Acupuncture from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and is extensively trained in Cosmetic Acupuncture, Fertility Acupuncture, Pediatric Acupuncture and Pain Management.

RUHE Fertility + Prenatal Acupuncture, founded by Ivelisse DeJongh, AP, FABORM, offers integrative fertility and prenatal care in Trumbull, Connecticut. Ivelisse is a licensed and board-certified Acupuncture Physician in both Florida and Connecticut with more than 17 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and Psychology, a Master’s in Oriental Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM).

Her journey began in Miami in 2009, where she opened her first practice treating general wellness, pain management, weight loss, cosmetic acupuncture, and men’s and women’s health. At High Country Doctor, you'll find a natural medicine practice run by the compassionate and skilled practitioner, Dr. Terence McCormick. It all started in the New York City area in 80's when Dr. McCormick was completing undergraduate coursework in biochemistry and other pre-medical studies. During his four years as a pre-med student, he worked as an assistant and apprentice to acupuncture and naturopathic doctors, graduating from various programs in Eastern and Western styles of manual therapies including naprapathy. After completing his undergraduate degree in public health, he went on to graduate from both a masters and doctoral program at one of the country's top natural medicine colleges in Portland, Oregon. As a doctoral fellow he was an acupuncturist intern at Oregon Health Sciences University Pain Center. He was also an intern at a World Health Organization (WHO) integrative medicine hospital in Nanjing, China. Since then, he's traveled the globe learning new techniques to help others with natural options for their healthcare. Dr. McCormick has completed apprenticeships and post-graduate clinical work with naturopathic physicians, naprapaths, medical doctors, osteopaths, Oriental and Ayrvedic medicine doctors along with various other world renowned practitioners in the natural medicine field. He is motivated by a desire to provide complementary care including alternatives to surgery and drugs.
