About:
Kevin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame where he graduated with honors in Social/Cultural and Medical Anthropology. It was there that he began focusing his attention on more traditional systems of medicine and healing. He received a grant to study medicine men and curanderos in Peru and it was there that he began noticing many aspects of Chinese medicine incorporated in the local traditional forms of healing. This sparked an interest to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in greater detail.
After Notre Dame, he applied to Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA where he later received his Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine - a 4-year, year-round Masters program. While in San Diego, Kevin interned as an Acupuncturist with San Diego Cancer Center in Encinitas, CA and was a volunteer acupuncturist at San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative Medicine. He also spent 3 years in his school's clinic observing and treating patients of his own.
Kevin has always liked to challenge his body through movement. Because of his love of running, surfing, rock-climbing, hiking, CrossFit, and yoga, Kevin knows all-too-well about the injuries that may happen to even the most seasoned athletes. This love and understanding has allowed Kevin to use his knowledge of both Eastern and Western traditions to facilitate each individual's return to well-being.
In 2010 Kevin had the opportunity to go to China and study at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine teaching-hospital. During his internship there he studied clinical applications of Chinese herbs in the Nephrology, Cardiology, and Andrology (Male Reproductive) departments.
