Dr. Carmen Jiménez, is a Florida-licensed Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine at Cosmopolitan Healing Center in Plantation, FL. She holds a Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (DAHM) from Daoist Traditions College, a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University (Los Angeles, CA), and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). She is a nationally board-certified Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM) and is certified in Acupoint Injection Therapy.

With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Jiménez specializes in stress physiology, burnout recovery, nervous system dysregulation, chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalance, anxiety, and insomnia — particularly in high-achieving adults whose symptoms haven't fully resolved with conventional care.

Her integrative approach combines Classical Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, herbal medicine, bio-energetic medicine, and functional physiology to identify and treat the root patterns behind persistent symptoms — not just manage them. She is trained in advanced techniques including Bio-Energetic Medicine, Total Body Modification (TBM), Evolutionary Quantum Healing Technique (EQHT), and Neuro Emotional Technique (NET).

Prior to clinical practice, Dr. Jiménez managed and developed clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies domestically and internationally — giving her a uniquely grounded perspective on both conventional and integrative medicine.

She is bilingual in English and Spanish and offers in-person care in Plantation, FL and virtual consultations throughout Florida.

At Acupuncture Center of Southern NH, LLC in Nashua New Hampshire, acupuncturist Vicki (Jessop) Irwin, RN, Lic. Ac. offers an integrative form of medicine for a wide range of issues such as chronic pain, allergies, digestive and reproductive. Experienced as both a Registered Nurse and acupuncturist, Vicki understands and works with both forms of medicine, and acupuncture treatments are conducted in comfortable, private rooms.

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It has been used safely and effectively to treat a wide range of symptoms, and is now recognized by both the World Health Organization and the National Institute of Health as an effective treatment, either in place of or in conjunction with conventional medicine.

Acupuncture is widely used to treat pain. This may include muscle pain, joint pain, arthritis pain, tendonitis, sports injuries, sciatic pain, and chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia.

Headaches and migraines often respond well to acupuncture.

It has also been proven effective in treating chronic health conditions like asthma, allergies, sinusitis, and digestive disorders, and some forms of numbness or weakness.

Our husband and wife dynamic duo have been practicing Traditional Chinese medicine, herbal medicine and acupuncture since 2001. They treat all difficult, chronic, illnesses, pain, injury and women’s health including: infertility, miscarriage, hormonal imbalances, menopausal challenges & any and all pain syndromes. They take the most difficult infertility cases in the U.S. through telemedicine with their mastery in sophisticated and complex herbal medicine, functional medicine testing and nutraceutical therapies. The Burrises have had nearly 700 babies born from their work and have been featured as medical authorities and experts in the Idaho Statesman, The San Diego Union Tribune, USA Today, Fox News and NPR radio. Doctors of TCM and acupuncture , who once treated infertility, now refers all of her infertility patients to the Burrises due to their unprecedented depth of knowledge, experience and success. Reproductive endocrinologists have referred their own wives for a natural approach to their own infertility. Ms. Burris is completing her dual doctorate in 2024 in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Mr. Burris has two additional years of training in martial arts, meditation and medical massage from the Taoist Sanctuary in San Diego. Ms. Burris was featured as “The Babymaker” on the cover of HERLIFE magazine and was honored by Evergreen herbs as one of their Top doctors in the U.S.. Both of the happily married couple taught graduate students at their alma mater, Pacific College of Oriental Medicine now known as Pacific College of Health Science in San Diego in a variety of classes and Mrs. Burris was the first person to be honored by their alma mater as as success in the field of TCM and acupuncture .
