The methods used at my practice are aimed toward giving the body synergism—not just treating symptoms temporarily or numbing pain with numerous medications. I strive to help the body heal itself from within, by treating the root and not just the branch of a problem. I use a wide variety of modalities that best serve the individual needs of the patient: acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, herbal formulas, Tui Na (Asian Bodywork), and Kinesiotaping. These methods can be integrated with Western approaches as well. Your treatment will be a partnership: discussed, understood, and agreed upon. While a particular procedure may be indicated for specific purposes, I believe the path to health is best navigated complemented by knowledge and awareness of a patient’s needs and goals.
I am a diplomate of the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I received my Master’s degree from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, one of the most respected acupuncture schools in the United States. My coursework involved 3,000 hours of study in acupuncture, Chinese herbs and herbal formulas, as well as Western medical training, including over 900 hours of supervised clinical training.

A native of Peabody, MA, Elizabeth graduated from Mt. Ida College in 1986 and Lesley University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Art Therapy.
After several years working in public and private sectors, Elizabeth witnessed the positive impacts of acupuncture and decided to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She graduated from the oldest school in the United States, the New England School of Acupuncture and is an NCCAOM Diplomate licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In addition, Elizabeth pursued advanced acupuncture training in Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture protocol (“cosmetic acupuncture”) and Master Tung Acupuncture Style that advances patients recovery with minimal needles to bring about maximum response.
The Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture practitioner believes holistic beauty is achieved by working on the inside to most effectively change the outside appearance, allowing innate beauty to emerge. Cosmetic acupuncture system is often referred to as an “acupuncture facelift” or “Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture”, but it is much more than a “cosmetic” procedure. It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help renew your skin’s appearance while promoting a healthy mind and body. Elizabeth studied the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture system under one of its developers, Dr. Martha Lucas, PhD, LAc., Doctor of Research Psychology, nationally certified and licensed to practice TCM. Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture is also highly effective in balancing hormones that can cause acne. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, disease contains two parts analogous to the roots and branches of a tree. The symptoms are like branches, and if you only treat them, the same roots will soon grow the same symptoms again. Dr. Christine Adamo is an integrative oncology specialist. She practices functional medicine, herbal medicine, nutrition, natural supplementation, and acupuncture. Her training is in internal medicine and her passion is in integrative oncology, providing specialized care for patients with cancer. Dr. Dale Dugas AP DOM MAOM Dipl. OM , is a board-certified Florida state licensed Acupuncture Physician/Doctor of Oriental Medicine(AP/DOM) as well as a board- certified Chinese Herbalist. He is licensed from the Florida Department of Health.
Dr. Dugas attended the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest school of Chinese Medicine in the USA.
He earned a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine(MAOM). Following graduation, he passed his national board exams for Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. He was subsequently granted Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM) status from The National Certification Commission of Acupuncture Medicine (NCCAOM), and recently was granted licensure in Florida as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine/Acupuncture Physician.
Dr. Dugas’ interest in Asian medicinal practices arose in the late 1980s, while he was living in Northern Japan. He lived in Northern Japan through the 1990s. During this time, he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Earlham College, his focus on Japanese Studies.
Dr. Dugas has over 36 years of continuous training in Chinese, Chinese/Okinawan, and Japanese martial arts systems.
He achieved a Shodan(1st degree Black Belt) in Okinawan Uechi-Ryu Karate-do at the age 16. He is well versed in Southern Short Hand systems such as South Mantis, and Bak Mei Pai Kung Fu as well as being a licensed instructor of Baguazhang. He was first introduced to the complexities of the Chinese internal arts( Hsing-Yi Chuan, Baguazhang, Taijiquan), and various Qi Gong methods under Shifu Kwan Sai Hung, best known as the protagonist in the book, The Wandering Taoist.
He is currently working in Florida as a licensed Acupuncture Physician/Chinese Herbalist at Jade Tree Wellness Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
