Sharon is a Board Certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (NCBAHM) with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine earned with honors from Tri-State College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in New York City. She has been practicing full time since 2001, including over 24 years leading a clinic in Philadelphia, where she also served as Acupuncture Consult Staff at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation Hospital and as a faculty member at the Won Institute.

A Sarasota resident since 1996 Ms. Bociek had suffered for years from disabling pain and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
