Ali Sherbiny, M.Ac.O.M., L.Ac. is a nationally certified and Virginia Board of Medicine-licensed acupuncturist and herbalist with a private practice in Arlington, Virginia.
He received his Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ASOM).
His experience includes integrative treatment, community acupuncture, as well as private practice. His practice specializes in the treatment of pain, insomnia, chronic fatigue, and stress-related effects on the body and combines acupuncture with bodywork (Tui Na massage) and cupping to achieve his clinical results.
His continuing education coursework has included study of the Tung family lineage style of acupuncture with Richard Tan, Brad Whisnant, and Henry McCann and food medicine (Chinese & Western Nutrition) with Dr. Ardeschir Mehrabani, NMD, Noemi Quintanar, NMD, RM, MT, and Dr. Marlene Merritt, LAc, DOM, MS Nutrition. Janice combines the best of Eastern and Western medicine. She practiced pharmacy for over 30 years and has an extensive knowledge of western medicine and pharmaceutical care. Abigail obtained her Bachelors of Science from the University of Maine. She continued on to earn her Masters in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture. Abigail is trained in both Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles, Orthopedic acupuncture, and Shakuju. With this range of treatment styles, she is able to meet a broad range of patient needs. Whether you have a stubborn musculoskeletal complaint, or are overcome with anxiety, whether you are a seasoned acupuncture patient or are terrified of needles, she will be able to offer you a variety of treatment plan options (even non-insertive techniques!).
With a passion for further education, Abigail is currently working towards her Masters of Science in Pain Research, Education, and Policy through Tufts University School of Medicine.
