Dr. Calli Wang is a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine of NCCAOM, National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a licensed acupuncturist in Texas and Missouri, and is one of the youngest experts of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture in the United States. She completed her fist degree in Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at ShanXi Medical University, China. Believing she needed further Western Medicine knowledge and skills to better assist her patients she received her M.D. at ShanXi Medical University, China.
After she graduated with her M.S. of TCM from Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, she open her private practice in Kansas City, Missouri. Katie is a pain specialist, having trained in pain management at Tufts University School of Medicine and receiving a Masters of Science in addition to earning her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from the New England School of Acupuncture. Katie's passion is using acupuncture and herbal medicine to treat all facets of a patient's pain condition so that patients can improve their overall quality of life. In addition to working at KenkoDo, Katie currently holds a part-time position as a research acupuncturist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she works with a team of researchers investigating acupuncture's effect on pain modulation via functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Katie also serves as Adjunct Faculty at Tufts University School of Medicine, and recently designed her own research study investigating the effects of acupuncture on pre- and postoperative pain, which she is currently conducting at Tufts Medical Center in coordination with the Anesthesia and Orthopedic departments.

She also studied a variety of vibrational healing techniques such as Reiki and Medical QiGong. Marcelle's background in bodywork and massage pairs well with acupuncture, and she is very experienced in a variety of techniques to help you stop chasing pain. Her treatments specialize in pain management, herbal medicine, and cosmetic acupuncture.
