I am passionate about sharing the unique benefits of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with my clients. My goal is to promote a happy and balanced lifestyle, free of pain for all those I treat. I have always been inspired by my Chinese heritage but my journey into TCM truly began after a serious motor vehicle accident left me with serious injuries that only began to heal after a course of acupuncture treatments. After making a full recovery, I began formal studies at Pacific Rim College, graduating with my Diploma of Acupuncture and subsequently obtaining my acupuncture license with the Canadian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia.
My areas of special interest include: neurological conditions, geriatric care, acute and chronic pain management, and sports medicine. I am continually pursuing higher learning in these areas and receive ongoing training to ensure the best results for my clients. I utilize acupuncture, moxabustion, cupping, TCM diet therapy, and lifestyle counselling to design treatments best suited to my client’s needs. During time away from the office, I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking with my dog, and exploring the ocean and forests of Vancouver Island.

Carmen E. Jiménez is a bilingual (Spanish) Holistic Medicine Practitioner with a Master’s in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University (Los Angeles, CA) and a Bachelor's of Arts from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). She is licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health as a Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and is qualified to provide Acupoint Injection Therapy and is certified Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for AcupunctureOriental Medicine (NCCAOM). I have 40 years of experience in herbal and nutritional supplement use, including extensive training in Chinese Herbs and Homeopathic remedies.
I combine a variety of acupuncture techniques with nutritional and lifestyle counseling to support your journey to health. I use a stress reduction tool called the BioscanSRT and a cold laser for a needle-free acupuncture experience.
I also use the Bioscan MSA device, a computerized analysis measuring frequencies from acupuncture meridians on the body. A flat probe is used on the fingers and toes to obtain these readings. Since the acupuncture meridians have pathways to organs alongside the nervous system, we can use this method to reach our goal: a balanced system that responds appropriately to stress and increased health.
A reading of 50 indicates that the organ/meridan is balanced. Readings above or below 50 indicate that a chronic or inflammatory process going on with the organ/meridian.
