As a young woman I suffered severe back pain resulting in surgery but I have never looked back since discovering how I can take care of my health bringing about strength, stamina and flexibility in a gentle and kind way. A Sarasota resident since 1996 Ms. Bociek had suffered for years from disabling pain and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. After exhausting Western medical treatment she turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She has since been living drug and pain free. This personal experience gives her a unique understanding of the physical, mental and financial toll an illness can take.
A native of Massachusetts, Kim Bociek received her B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Her medical education continued at the East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota where she received her Masters degree in Oriental Medicine and is now a Board Certified Acupuncture Physician. With over 18 years of medical health industry experience she has treated a variety of disorders including pain management, arthritis, cancer, post stroke, insomnia and stress related illness.

Gloria has a degree in Acupuncture from the Oxford Brookes University in England and practiced there for 7 years before moving to the U.S. in 2009. She now has 2 clinics in NC in Asheville and Hendersonville. Her passion is to bring healing to everyone regardless of their financial circumstances. She founded the Asheville Pay It Forward Network in 2011 and both of her clinics are operated on a pay-it-forward basis.
