I have been interested in Oriental Medicine for over 20 years and have incorporated acupressure, shiatsu and acupuncture in my previous massage and chiropractic practices. Since finishing my studies at the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute and moving to Glens Falls, I have concentrated on acupuncture although I draw on my previous experience to help patients. I feel that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is more than just acupuncture but a way of life that includes exercise, diet and mental outlook. Acupuncture is a powerful tool that allows people to deal with the stresses of everyday living: work, family, aging relatives, what's going on in the world. Addressing all these demands takes a toll; TCM and acupuncture gives people a mechanism to heal themselves and a place where they can begin to bring balance back into their lives.

I was Nationally Certified and started practicing acupuncture in NY City in 2006. I was licensed in California in 2013. Since I have been a massage therapist specializing in chronic pain and myofascial work for 20 years, most of my acupuncture is working with physical pain. She attended the Universita degli Studi di Urbino, the Universita degli Studi di Pavia, and the Universita degli Studi di Firenze prior to graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2006 with a Bachelor’s in Forensic Anthropology. She then obtained a Master’s degree in Acupuncture in 2013 from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL after she completed over 3,000 hours of education and year-long residency in Acupuncture.
Dr. Toni is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Acupuncture at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Dr. Toni began her career as an Acupuncturist at Valir Health and later decided to create Be Well Acupuncture. She is one of very few Master’s Degree holding Acupuncturists in OKC or Edmond, OK and is the only Acupuncturist practicing Five Element Acupuncture in the Oklahoma City Metro area. The methods used at my practice are aimed toward giving the body synergism—not just treating symptoms temporarily or numbing pain with numerous medications. I strive to help the body heal itself from within, by treating the root and not just the branch of a problem. I use a wide variety of modalities that best serve the individual needs of the patient: acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, herbal formulas, Tui Na (Asian Bodywork), and Kinesiotaping. These methods can be integrated with Western approaches as well. Your treatment will be a partnership: discussed, understood, and agreed upon.
