Living Room Acupuncture opened it’s doors in 2011 to served the needs of Downtown Miami residents and workers. The clinic was founded by Rafael Perez, a native of Miami Florida. The clinic was designed to be an oasis of tranquility within the hustle and bustle of the city. Toni Twitty is an Acupuncture physician who practices Acupuncture in Edmond, OK. Toni specializes in pain conditions, fertility issues, and digestion.
She attended the Universita degli Studi di Urbino, the Universita degli Studi di Pavia, and the Universita degli Studi di Firenze prior to graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2006 with a Bachelor’s in Forensic Anthropology. She then obtained a Master’s degree in Acupuncture in 2013 from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL after she completed over 3,000 hours of education and year-long residency in Acupuncture.
Dr. Toni is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Acupuncture at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Dr. Toni began her career as an Acupuncturist at Valir Health and later decided to create Be Well Acupuncture. She is one of very few Master’s Degree holding Acupuncturists in OKC or Edmond, OK and is the only Acupuncturist practicing Five Element Acupuncture in the Oklahoma City Metro area. She uses a variety of complementary modalities including Acupuncture, guasha, tuina, cupping, and Acutonics. She has successfully treated a variety of health concerns including, stress, insomnia, back pain, migraines, allergies, digestive issues, neck and shoulder pain, women’s health issues, and much more.
She is dedicated to working with patients in a professional and compassionate manner in order to bring them back to health.

Licensed since 1991, Brenda Loew is an adjunct faculty member at Bastyr Center for Natural Health and she teaches Japanese acupuncture seminars at various venues throughout the U.S. and Canada. She sees patients in her private family practice in Seattle, is an authorized Toyohari Meridian Therapy Instructor, a co-founder and instructor for the Japanese Acupuncture Institute, and co-founded and volunteers at Seattle Acupuncture for Veterans Clinic [a free clinic]. Karen is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and registered to practice acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and physiotherapy in Australia and the USA. Her qualifications are Ph.D. (Research Sc.), B. App. Sc. (Physio.), Dip. App. Sc. (Acup.), Ad. Dip. (Ch. H. Med.).
She has been working in healthcare since 1988, practicing Chinese medicine for 20 years and has worked in Australia, UK and in the USA for 14 years. During this time Karen studied Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis (CCPD) for 12 years under master practitioner Leon Hammer, MD, Chinese herbal medicine with Andrew Gamble, and sat workshops with Lonny Jarret and Jeffrey Yuen. She also received extensive training in osteopathic manual medicine techniques that have their origins in the USA and are not commonly practiced in Australia.
Karen has completed research in several areas including a 12-month clinical trial, Traditional Chinese Medicine and People Living with HIV/AIDS, A Quality of Life Study and recently her doctoral studies evaluated the reliability of practitioners to apply pulse diagnosis clinically, Investigating the reliability of Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis (CCPD) as a diagnostic tool in Oriental medicine.
Karen has coauthored a book on pulse diagnosis Handbook of Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis, presented at conferences in the USA, Australia and New Zealand, published articles in peer review journals, and is one of 14 worldwide instructors certified by Dragon Rises Seminars to teach CCPD.
For 10 years Karen was clinical director of a busy clinic in New York City that specialised in integrating eastern and western medical treatment paradigms. Where western medical intervention was beyond the scope of her practice Karen worked closely with her patients’ physicians to integrate their medical care with that of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. This resulted in better treatment outcomes, often saw the reduction of medication dosages and an associated improvement in quality of life. This was achieved across a range of medical specialties including psychiatry, respiratory, fertility, immunological, gastroenterology and cardiology.
Karen firmly believes a combination of western and Oriental medicine stands to offer us optimal health care outcomes. She currently continues her teaching, writing and clinical practice in Sydney.
