Meeting Point Community Acupuncture is committed to providing the highest quality healthcare experience possible. We strive to make acupuncture an affordable healthcare option for everyone. We do that by offering a sliding scale of $20-$40, you pay what you can afford on that scale (there is an additional $15 fee for your initial visit).
Community Style Acupuncture is acupuncture performed in a community setting, the way it has been practiced in China for thousands of years. Our clinic is modeled after Working Class Acupuncture, a community clinic in Portland, OR. At Meeting Point we have a beautiful semi-private community rooms with several massage tables and recliners. In this setting several people can receive treatments at the same time; this creates a healing energy (Qi). We talk in low voices in the community room in order to respect privacy. By practicing community-style acupuncture we are able to keep prices low so you can afford to receive acupuncture as often as you need to get and stay healthy.

Wellness is the state of Optimal well-being in body, mind, and spirit.
The attainment of wellness requires a combination of science and art. At Art of Wellness, our mission is to provide the best holistic health care through acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. A good healer seeks to address all aspects of the person. By treating not only the symptoms of an illness, but also the source from which the illness originates, we aim to help our patients heal, to alleviate physical and emotional sufferings, to preserve health and vitality, and to prevent further illness. With exceptional training in Eastern and Western medicine from China, Dr. Tan & Dr. Cai have helped thousands of patients over their two decades of medical practice. Their unique skills, acquired over a lifetime of intense training and mastery of Qigong and martial arts, allow them to share not only medical knowledge, but abundant and powerful Qi ("Chi"), a palpable energy that is a powerful adjunct to healing. It is this Qi, or subtle energy, that allows healing on a holistic level.

"I would not hesitate to recommend acupuncture generally, and Tom in particular as he is a sensitive and gentle practitioner."
J.C. - London
Tom is a fully qualified member of the British Acupuncture Council, and practices acupuncture and tuina massage in Bristol. He runs private practices from Breathe Bristol, and the Natural Health Clinic, as well as a low-cost clinic from the same venue. He also works as an associate acupuncturist at Penny Brohn Cancer Care's Treatment Support Clinic.
Tom began his training in Chinese medicine in 2004, embarking on a 3 year full-time degree course at the University of Westminster. During his training, he treated the public in the University of Westminster Polyclinic, and the NHS Gateway clinic in Clapham.
He now enjoys treating a wide variety of patients and conditions, and regularly attends advanced training courses. These have included tuina (Chinese massage); pregnancy and childbirth; traditional pulse diagnosis; treating various kinds of physical pain and many more. In recent years, he has been studying advanced Classical acupuncture and bodywork techniques with the Association of Traditional Studies, and the Xinglin Institute.
Tom and his wife Kate - both ex-BBC employees - also produce videos and multi-media projects, mainly relating to acupuncture. Examples include the popular Manual of Acupuncture software - a training aid for students - and the Acupressure for Natural Pain Relief in Labour DVD, which Tom co-presents with Debra Betts.

Drug free resolution to physical & emotional traumas & ailments. SKILLS & TECHNIQUES include 5 Element Theory, Manaka Protocols, ToyoHari Trained.
Conducted 2 workshops for MoxAfrica in Brisbane for Merlin Young & 1 in Sydney at the 2013 WFAS conference.
In 2002, Phil realised that there were strong correlations with the underlying health problems of his patients and the pre-existing surgical or accidental scar tissue elsewhere on the patient’s body. This scarring would cross meridians which clearly demonstrated a solid link to their overall lack of health, some refer to this as Sho. Consequently, Phil discovered and developed a range of techniques using the “Yanagishita” teishin, a gold teishin, or Shi Zhen which is mentioned in the Miraculous Pivot & the Suwen, it is one of the 9 classical needles.
As a result, this amazing technique quickly reduces any form of scar tissue, including keloids, from a severe hindrance of reduced conductivity to enabling the free flow of Ki, so that the scarred skin more closely resembled the surrounding skin tissue reverting to it’s natural skin colour. The damaged tissue was revitalised in the affected area and had regained the lost tactile sensations and reduced the size and malformation of the damaged site. This resulted in a workshop presentation at the 2007 AACMAC in Brisbane.
Philip is conducting Scar Rejuvenation training workshops in Europe, Ireland & the UK in 2014. The USA workshops are being planned for 2015.
Use of Teishins for improved Ki/Qi control/performance. Moxibustion using high quality moxa for direct and in-direct applications.
