A Sarasota resident since 1996 Ms. Bociek had suffered for years from disabling pain and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. After exhausting Western medical treatment she turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She has since been living drug and pain free. This personal experience gives her a unique understanding of the physical, mental and financial toll an illness can take.
A native of Massachusetts, Kim Bociek received her B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Her medical education continued at the East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota where she received her Masters degree in Oriental Medicine and is now a Board Certified Acupuncture Physician. Geoff was born in Manchester and attended the Altrincham Grammar School. He went on to study Pharmacology at the University of Leeds. An interest in yoga, meditation and taiji lead him to learn spiritual healing with the Beta Healing Group. They offered spiritual healing to the community in Manchester. In 2005 he went on to study Acupuncture and Chinese Massage at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. He graduated in 2009 with a Licentiate in Acupuncture and a BSc (Hons) Degree in Acupuncture. I combine a variety of acupuncture techniques with nutritional and lifestyle counseling to support your journey to health. I use a stress reduction tool called the BioscanSRT and a cold laser for a needle-free acupuncture experience.
I also use the Bioscan MSA device, a computerized analysis measuring frequencies from acupuncture meridians on the body. A flat probe is used on the fingers and toes to obtain these readings. Since the acupuncture meridians have pathways to organs alongside the nervous system, we can use this method to reach our goal: a balanced system that responds appropriately to stress and increased health.
A reading of 50 indicates that the organ/meridan is balanced. Readings above or below 50 indicate that a chronic or inflammatory process going on with the organ/meridian. Acupuncture, whole food nutrition, homeopathics, and herbal remedies are used to bring the body into balance once again.
