I have practiced in the Healing Arts for 40 years.
My career began as a Registered Nurse at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where I specialized in Med/Surgical nursing and later Psychiatric nursing when I received my Masters Degree in Nursing at the University of Maryland. My graduate degree in Nursing was a natural first step into the holistic approach and philosophy of my graduate degree in Chinese Medicine. I blend my vast nursing background into my acupuncture treatments as I treat a wide variety of physical and emotional/spiritual issues.
I have effectively treated anxiety, sleep disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, depression, skin disorders, fibromyalgia, menopausal and menstrual disorders, TMJ, infertility and back/neck/shoulder pain, just to name few.
I hold a Masters degree in Acupuncture and I am Licensed and Nationally Certified with NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine – Public Protection Through Quality Credentials).
The learning process is ongoing as I delve deeper into this 5,000 year old medical art form in my own treatment room. My patients benefit from my years of academic studies, my acupuncture treatment experience, and my life experience as a wife and a mother of two teenagers.

Heather Galloway, MS, EAMP, L.Ac. is a East Asian Medicine Practitioner and Board Certified Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist in Washington state.
Heather is passionate about natural medicine and the finding harmony within. Her journey into acupuncture started in 1999 when she suffered from debilitating digestive issues that frequently would land her in the doctor's office or the hospital. With test after test and no diagnosis given, she was left frustrated and in chronic pain. She sought out the help of a skilled acupuncturist and, after four treatments, her acupuncturist helped her determine what the root cause of her problem was and thus began her healing and transformation.
As a practitioner her main goal is to help others see themselves holistically and to create the path to wellness they deserve. The healing process can be difficult at times, but identifying the root of a problem combined with the support and guidance from acupuncture and Chinese medicine can lead to restoring the overall balance of the body.

As a licensed Acupuncturist, Melinda blends the best of both eastern and western medicine. In addition to her education and clinical experience, Melinda spent over a decade training doctors in medical devices and robotic surgical technology. As a result, she has an excellent foundation and appreciation for western medicine, while recognizing the importance of comprehensive, integrative care for patients. Compelled by helping others, she made the decision to leave her career and become a healthcare provider herself. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine.
