Suzanne Gaynor is a licensed acupuncturist and a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She graduated from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture with honors in 2008, earning the Kathy Salisbury Award for Excellence and Creativity in Herbal Formulation. The Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture is recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).
Earning her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine gave Suzanne practical understanding of Chinese Herbology in addition to her acupuncture coursework. Her degree required over 3,300 hours of training, 200 of which involved creating customized herbal formulas for patients. Suzanne has passed a national board certification exam in Chinese Herbology, and her belief in the importance of herbs has strongly influenced their use in her TCM treatments. Suzanne is licensed to practice acupuncture in Arizona and Connecticut. She specializes in women’s issues, mental-emotional well-being, and fertility and pregnancy support.
Suzanne is also a registered yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance) and earned her certification in 2001. She has an alignment-based, heart opening practice and incorporates yoga therapeutics into her healing sessions with patients.
