I’m Dr. Amsu El. I help people feel better in their bodies, think more clearly, and make changes that last.
My approach is simple and rigorous. I listen deeply, find the real pattern, and act with precision. I build plans case by case using electrical acupuncture, non-invasive bio-electrical therapy, breathwork, herbs, and practical lifestyle design. No templates. Your care is designed for you.

I was shaped by family, community, and wise Jegna's who insisted on integrity and results. Losing my sister young showed me what happens when care chases symptoms instead of terrain. In my clinic we intervene early, before a molehill becomes a mountain, and we pair nature with science so progress is real and measurable.

Sometimes the right move is acupuncture or targeted electrical work. Sometimes it is sunlight, grounding, target journaling, or speaking the truth your body has been holding. Each tool has a time. The person determines the method.

Cheryl “Sheri” DePetro, M.Ac, L.Ac; MSW/LCSW-C
Sheri DePetro is a licensed acupuncturist and a licensed social worker. Utilizing both conventional and complementary medicine, her private practice provides both behavioral health and acupuncture. A national trainer for NADA, the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association, she has been an adjunct faculty member at Maryland University of Integrative Health, formerly Tai Sophia Institute, for 11 years. She was one of the first social worker’s in the state of Maryland to become an Auricular Detoxification Specialist. Her specialties are spiritual health, behavioral health, trauma, addictions, disabilities, stress management and pain management. Sheri considers herself to be a practitioner in life and has studied healing with indigenous and native peoples from around the globe for the past 20 years.

Abigail obtained her Bachelors of Science from the University of Maine. She continued on to earn her Masters in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture. Abigail is trained in both Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles, Orthopedic acupuncture, and Shakuju. With this range of treatment styles, she is able to meet a broad range of patient needs. Whether you have a stubborn musculoskeletal complaint, or are overcome with anxiety, whether you are a seasoned acupuncture patient or are terrified of needles, she will be able to offer you a variety of treatment plan options (even non-insertive techniques!).

With a passion for further education, Abigail is currently working towards her Masters of Science in Pain Research, Education, and Policy through Tufts University School of Medicine. Using Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, lifestyle modification, and her Western medical training, Abigail supports the release and management of both physical and emotional pain.
