Dr. Christine Adamo is an integrative oncology specialist. She practices functional medicine, herbal medicine, nutrition, natural supplementation, and acupuncture. Her training is in internal medicine and her passion is in integrative oncology, providing specialized care for patients with cancer. She brings relief to patients struggling with the side effects of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and surgery and provides post-treatment and survivorship care. may I take a little of your time to tell you a little of my story? If you answered yes, read on. My introduction to acupuncture was due to a traumatic accident about twenty-two years ago. I injured my left neck/shoulder/arm and sciatic nerve in 1993 so I could not work as an EMT because I could not lift any thing heavier than a loaf of bread. After trying allopathic medicine for a year, the doctors told me that I would never heal so just learn to live with what left arm and leg movement remained. That's when I decided to try massage school. My injuries did start to heal with daily treatments over a years time but I wanted more pain relief and more strength in my arm and leg so I did more research and decided to start acupuncture school. That turned out to be the best decision of my life. Not only did my left arm and leg get well and pain free, (the muscles that had atrophied returned to their pre injury size) and best of all my pain was gone! The biggest blessing of all was that I found my life's passion. I became an acupuncturist and herbalist to share this healing art with my family and friends. My journey as a Chinese Medicine Practitioner started in 1994 when I met a monk in Taiwan who taught me about meditation, cleansing, food healing, calligraphy and Chinese health practices. For 10 years, I travelled around the world studying natural healing and classical Asian martial arts from various masters, healers and schools.

I graduated from the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in British Columbia with a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, modelled after the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine curriculum.

I’ve been in clinic practice for over 10 years in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. I am a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medical Practitioners and Acupuncturists in Ontario under the following number: 2807. I currently see patients at The Village Clinic in Westboro.

I teach weekly Qigong and Chen Style Tai Chi classes at Aylmer Qigong and Tai Chi and I hold regular at workshops, lectures, webinars and events on health and well-being.

I also lecture and write on child developmental psychology and behaviour using traditional Chinese medicine. I am the author of the book Democratic Parenting and the creator of The ADHD Transformation Program.

I have advanced training in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Therapy, Dietary Recommendations, Qigong/Tai Chi, and Traditional Chinese Medical Psychology.

Carmen E. Jiménez is a bilingual (Spanish) Holistic Medicine Practitioner with a Master’s in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University (Los Angeles, CA) and a Bachelor's of Arts from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). She is licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health as a Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and is qualified to provide Acupoint Injection Therapy and is certified Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for AcupunctureOriental Medicine (NCCAOM). In addition to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Carmen has trained in various advanced techniques in Functional Physiology and Bio-Energetic Medicine. These include Total Body Modification, Natural Healing Systems and Functional Nutrition, to name a few.

​Prior to becoming a Holistic Medicine Practitioner, Carmen managed and helped develop clinical trials for pharmaceuitcal companies, domestic and internationally. She has an extensive experience studying the effects of prescription medications on the body and this knowledge motivated her to pursue a change in careers.

Carmen is passionate about self-empowerment through healing and believes that the power that made the body also heals the body. Because of her unique and diverse training, Carmen is able to provide comprehensive treatments that integrate Western Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Functional Medicine.
