Dr. Carmen Jiménez, is a Florida-licensed Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine at Cosmopolitan Healing Center in Plantation, FL. She holds a Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (DAHM) from Daoist Traditions College, a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University (Los Angeles, CA), and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). She is a nationally board-certified Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM) and is certified in Acupoint Injection Therapy.
With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Jiménez specializes in stress physiology, burnout recovery, nervous system dysregulation, chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalance, anxiety, and insomnia — particularly in high-achieving adults whose symptoms haven't fully resolved with conventional care.

A native of Peabody, MA, Elizabeth graduated from Mt. Ida College in 1986 and Lesley University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Art Therapy.
After several years working in public and private sectors, Elizabeth witnessed the positive impacts of acupuncture and decided to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She graduated from the oldest school in the United States, the New England School of Acupuncture and is an NCCAOM Diplomate licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In addition, Elizabeth pursued advanced acupuncture training in Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture protocol (“cosmetic acupuncture”) and Master Tung Acupuncture Style that advances patients recovery with minimal needles to bring about maximum response.
The Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture practitioner believes holistic beauty is achieved by working on the inside to most effectively change the outside appearance, allowing innate beauty to emerge. Cosmetic acupuncture system is often referred to as an “acupuncture facelift” or “Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture”, but it is much more than a “cosmetic” procedure. It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help renew your skin’s appearance while promoting a healthy mind and body. I could list a multitude of ailments that I can help with, but helping you find the priority for treatment is my specialty. Often times, after dealing with the priority, other symptoms improve or fall away. This is the case even with pain.
