UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL. FROM THERE SHE BEGAN HER CAREER WORKING FOR A
MEDICAL DOCTOR WHO SPECIALIZED IN CHRONIC PAIN. CHARLENE HONED HER
SKILLS BY TREATING UPWARDS OF 80 PATIENTS A WEEK. THERE SHE TREATED
EVERY TYPE OF PAIN CONDITION IMAGINABLE AND RECEIVED FEEDBACK FROM HER
PATIENTS DAILY THAT ACUPUNCTURE WAS THE MODALITY THAT WAS GIVING THEM

CHARLENE BECAME INTERESTED IN ACUPUNCTURE, NATURAL MEDICINE, NUTRITION

YOGA SHE WAS ABLE TO TRANSFORM HER HEALTH.

Our husband and wife dynamic duo have been practicing Traditional Chinese medicine, herbal medicine and acupuncture since 2001. The couple has been voted Best of Boise and Top Doc of Eagle many years in a row. They treat all difficult, chronic, illnesses, pain, injury and women’s health including: infertility, miscarriage, hormonal imbalances, menopausal challenges & any and all pain syndromes. Ms. Burris is completing her dual doctorate in 2024 in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Mr. Burris has two additional years of training in martial arts, meditation and medical massage from the Taoist Sanctuary in San Diego. Ms. Burris was featured as “The Babymaker” on the cover of HERLIFE magazine and was honored by Evergreen herbs as one of their Top doctors in the U.S.. Both of the happily married couple taught graduate students at their alma mater, Pacific College of Oriental Medicine now known as Pacific College of Health Science in San Diego in a variety of classes and Mrs. Burris was the first person to be honored by their alma mater as as success in the field of TCM and acupuncture .

I have practiced in the Healing Arts for 40 years.

My career began as a Registered Nurse at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where I specialized in Med/Surgical nursing and later Psychiatric nursing when I received my Masters Degree in Nursing at the University of Maryland. My graduate degree in Nursing was a natural first step into the holistic approach and philosophy of my graduate degree in Chinese Medicine. I blend my vast nursing background into my acupuncture treatments as I treat a wide variety of physical and emotional/spiritual issues.

I have effectively treated anxiety, sleep disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, depression, skin disorders, fibromyalgia, menopausal and menstrual disorders, TMJ, infertility and back/neck/shoulder pain, just to name few.

I hold a Masters degree in Acupuncture and I am Licensed and Nationally Certified with NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine – Public Protection Through Quality Credentials).

The learning process is ongoing as I delve deeper into this 5,000 year old medical art form in my own treatment room. My patients benefit from my years of academic studies, my acupuncture treatment experience, and my life experience as a wife and a mother of two teenagers.
