About:
Five Element Acupuncture treats the person as a whole; something that can be absent from Western medicine where we see several doctors to tend our whole person. Five Element acupuncture is natural, ancient, and simple form of medicine that works to help the person find their natural balance. Instead of looking at a person like a list of separate symptoms, Five Element Acupuncture looks at the person as a whole. Taking in the physical, the mental, and the spiritual; it is all encompassing way of looking at life and healing. Acupuncture is an ancient system of health care based on natural laws of healing, involving the movement of vital energy. This energy, called qi (pronounced chi), moves in pathways called meridians which support the functions of the body, mind, and spirit. When qi is not moving smoothly in the body; imbalances begin to surface in the form of symptoms. Acupuncture addresses the root cause of these symptoms, and creates a deep and lasting healing.
Acupuncture assists in treating immediate acute symptoms, as well as underlying chronic imbalances to a person’s well being by improving overall health and immunity. Many people say they have greater energy and focus following treatment. Early treatment can help prevent more serious health problems from arising. Many people committed to a healthy lifestyle use acupuncture to help them maintain their well being. Treatments are uniquely designed for each patient in this highly personal form of medicine.

Started in 2014, Tranquil Waters Acupuncture and Wellness is a Twin Cities based health and wellness clinic with its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). We strive to bring you the best in holistic care. Each treatment specifically caters to your needs and helps you find a voice in your health and wellness.
We start you on a collaborative journey toward health. But what is health? According to the World Health Organization: Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
At Tranquil Waters we understand this and we will customize a wellness plan that can realistically integrate into your life, while at the same time maintaining accountability for results between you and your practitioner.

About:
I am passionate about sharing the unique benefits of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with my clients. My goal is to promote a happy and balanced lifestyle, free of pain for all those I treat. I have always been inspired by my Chinese heritage but my journey into TCM truly began after a serious motor vehicle accident left me with serious injuries that only began to heal after a course of acupuncture treatments. After making a full recovery, I began formal studies at Pacific Rim College, graduating with my Diploma of Acupuncture and subsequently obtaining my acupuncture license with the Canadian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia.
My areas of special interest include: neurological conditions, geriatric care, acute and chronic pain management, and sports medicine. I am continually pursuing higher learning in these areas and receive ongoing training to ensure the best results for my clients. I utilize acupuncture, moxabustion, cupping, TCM diet therapy, and lifestyle counselling to design treatments best suited to my client’s needs. During time away from the office, I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking with my dog, and exploring the ocean and forests of Vancouver Island.
