may I take a little of your time to tell you a little of my story? If you answered yes, read on. My introduction to acupuncture was due to a traumatic accident about twenty-two years ago. I injured my left neck/shoulder/arm and sciatic nerve in 1993 so I could not work as an EMT because I could not lift any thing heavier than a loaf of bread. After trying allopathic medicine for a year, the doctors told me that I would never heal so just learn to live with what left arm and leg movement remained. That's when I decided to try massage school. My injuries did start to heal with daily treatments over a years time but I wanted more pain relief and more strength in my arm and leg so I did more research and decided to start acupuncture school. That turned out to be the best decision of my life. Not only did my left arm and leg get well and pain free, (the muscles that had atrophied returned to their pre injury size) and best of all my pain was gone! The biggest blessing of all was that I found my life's passion. I became an acupuncturist and herbalist to share this healing art with my family and friends. Victor Cheng, L. Ac. is a California Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. He graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(上海中醫藥大學). In his six years in Shanghai, he studied four years in classes and labs covering both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine. He spent the last two years at Shuguang Hospital(曙光醫院), the first TCM hospital in China and one of the three Level III TCM hospitals, rotating through various specialties. In Shanghai, he took and passed the National Medical Exam in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is also licensed in China.
Victor was born in the US but spent part of his childhood in Taiwan, therefore he is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English. He developed an interest in Chinese Medicine early age seeing his grandmother curing family members with simple home remedies. He went on to study at UC Berkeley and received a Bachelor degree. After college, he began studying Buddhism and volunteered a year teaching Chinese at Developing Virtue Secondary School in the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas. Afterwards, he interned one year at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine. In Shanghai, he studied under many renown TCM professors. He is interested in Internal Medicine with an emphasis on healthy diet and exercises.

John Howard completed his degree in acupuncture from the Maryland Institute of Traditional Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. John holds two professorships; one in Traditional Chinese Medicine and the other in Western Medicine from George Washington University (GWU). Professor (Prof) Howard lectured on suturing and minor trauma management.
Upon completion of his degree Prof Howard entered into a five-year fellowship with the US military under the direction of Dr. Richard Niemtzow, MD, PHD. Prof Howard is both a clinician and an Academician. As an academician, he provides national and international lectures in acupuncture and auriculotherapy. He has authored five books and 21 articles on these two fields. He is also dedicated to the promotion of knowledge and has been awarded the dissemination of seminal works of Dr. Raphael Nogier (The RAFT (Radial Artery Food Test) and of Dr. René Bourdiol (Elements of Auriculotherapy).
In 2014 Prof Howard served as the vice president of the 8th International Symposium of Auriculotherapy in the United States. In 2016 Prof Howard became a consultant for ZeroMed (a holistic medical goods company) to design auriculotherapy protocols. Currently he is the President of the United States branch of the Raphael Nogier School of Auriculotherapy.

John is currently conducting studies on the use of Auriculotherapy in distance runners to enhance performance. Some of men on team USA who won the world 100k gold medal in the Nederland’s in 2011 used his protocol.
