Wellness One of South Bergen is pleased to have two advanced acupuncturists on staff - Michael Y. Ng, L.Ac., Dipl. Acupuncture and Shannon DiCarlo, MS RN LAc, Dipl. OM.
Michael Y. Ng, L.Ac., Dipl. Acupuncture, studied Acupuncture at the Swedish School of Acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy at the Eastern School of Oriental Medicine, and received classical training from world master Jeffrey Yuen. He comes from a family of Chinese medical doctors and follows his family tradition in Chinese medicine.
Michael cares for a variety of patients of all ages and needs for both acute and chronic health concerns. He is dedicated to the patient’s needs as he employs a variety of modalities in addition to acupuncture including cupping, guasha and moxabustion, as well as employing Chinese herbs. He is licensed in both New Jersey and New York.
In addition to his acupuncture and Eastern medicine education and training, Michael holds an M.B.A from Duke University.
Michael has appointment availability during weekdays and evenings as well as on Saturday mornings.

After working the past 20 years as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of healthcare settings from hospital based rehabilitation clinics to home care service, I became interested in approaching healing from a different perspective in order to help people become empowered about their health on all levels. I am a CA state licensed and nationally certified acupuncturist specializing in women’s health care, with an emphasis on fertility enhancement and pregnancy care. I graduated from the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine where I also served on the faculty.
