Author and Acupuncturist Shoshanna Katzman L.Ac., M.S., Dipl. Ac., & C.H., has been a Chinese Medicine Practitioner for almost 40 years. Combining this with a master's degree in Sports Medicine and master's level training in Energy Medicine, Shoshanna offers a unique form of holistic healing and support to her clients. She serves as Chair of the NJ State Acupuncture Examining Board and is also Chair of the National Qigong Association (NQA) Advisory Council. Sabrina is a Registered Acupuncturist with a passion for providing her clients with deeply relaxing treatments. While acupuncture and relaxation might seem an odd pairing, what could be more relaxing than having that nervous stomach or muscle knot unwind? Suffering nauseating migraines frequently as a child, Sabrina is particularly excited about how well and how fast acupuncture treats most headaches.

As a graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s Spa Practitioner Program, Sabrina has 9 years experience nurturing people with Swedish Massage, Lomi Lomi, Hot Stone and Aromatherapy.

Always curious about how things work and why, Sabrina earned a Diploma of Acupuncture from Pacific Rim College and a BSc. in Biology from the University of Victoria. She interviews each client, looking at current challenges, from a pattern based Traditional Chinese Medicine point of view and a biomedical cause-and-effect perspective.

Sabrina loves dance and movement therapies from Foxtrot and Pilates to Poi Spinning and Tai Chi lessons. When not dancing Sabrina is often reading, playing board games or trying out new massages. Clients are offered useful advice for reducing pain and stress but not pressured to adopt habits that don't fit their lives. She welcomes any questions you have about introducing Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies into your life or to someone you love.

I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Arizona. I began studying TCM theory at The Won Institute in Philadelphia, PA before transitioning forward into the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL.

My primary lens to treatment is Five Element, which focuses on healing through a re-alignment with authenticity and integrity. Globally we are witnessing the environmental repercussions of nature being overtaxed. Five Element explores the idea that the nature around us is also reflected inside us. It asks with consideration where our individual constitutions are over-functioning or compromised and redirects energy to restore balance.

I am a white practitioner utilizing a wellness practice outside of my culture. I decided to pursue acupuncture professionally after experiencing the depth of its influence. My offering is one of attunement, curiosity, thoughtfulness, and presence. My intention is to support clients in experiencing greater connectivity and peace inside their bodies and lives. My treatments aim to disrupt internal discomfort and increase our capacity to manage mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
