I am Dr. George Mandler, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist. I specialize in acupuncture for chronic and complex conditions, including inflammation, pain, digestive disorders, gynecological issues, fertility challenges, and men’s health.
My work focuses on patients who haven’t found relief elsewhere. Using Saam acupuncture, Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Functional Nutrition, I design treatments that address root causes, not just symptoms. I practice acupuncture as a complete medical system, helping restore balance, improve function, and support long-term healing.

Healthy Roots Medicine (HRM) is an acupuncture, herbal medicine, and clinical hypnosis practice specializing in pain management, mental health, fertility, and cancer treatment support. Our practitioner Dr. Jafari, takes the mystery out of his recommended treatment options by educating and empowering patients with knowledge that allows them to be a partner in their own health and wellness. A typical new patient appointment reviews health history, chief concerns, and a treatment plan that makes sense for the patient's current health and lifestyle. Located throughout Maryland, HRM has offices in Bethesda, Clarksburg, and Frederick. HRM is an in-network provider with Aetna, CareFirst, Cigna, Unitedhealth, and Humana insurance carriers.

Kathy Addison received her masters degree in 5-Element style acupuncture in 2001 and has also passed the National Acupuncture Exam. She practices in the Carteret Chiropractic and Family Wellness office in Cape Carteret, NC very close to Morehead City, Swansboro, and Emerald Isle. Kathy offers discounts to people ages 55+, and to retired and active military personnel.

I love doing medical acupuncture and am pleased to open my practice, Huffman Clinic, PLLC, in Davenport, Iowa, where I can serve clients in the Iowa and Illinois Quad Cities and the surrounding area. I bring with me 35 years of practicing traditional western medicine in family practice and then radiology. To prepare for my practice dedicated to medical acupuncture, I did intensive training with Dr. Tsun-Nin Lee at the Academy of Pain Research. I find the integration of concepts from traditional and modern forms of acupuncture with Western medical training enables a more comprehensive approach to health care.
I appreciate the opportunity to serve clients by assisting them in achieving and maintaining wellness. My acupuncture treatments include the traditional needling, electrical stimulation, auricular stimulation and moxibustion. To this I add the modern acupuncture technologies of laser, infrared heat, and measuring energies through computer software. It gives me great pleasure to alleviate pain and illness using these modalities that are free of side-effects. I also encourage my patients to come in for regular energy readings so we can maintain balanced energies to support ongoing good health and a strong immune system.
