Ali Sherbiny, M.Ac.O.M., L.Ac. is a nationally certified and Virginia Board of Medicine-licensed acupuncturist and herbalist with a private practice in Arlington, Virginia.
He received his Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ASOM).
His experience includes integrative treatment, community acupuncture, as well as private practice. His practice specializes in the treatment of pain, insomnia, chronic fatigue, and stress-related effects on the body and combines acupuncture with bodywork (Tui Na massage) and cupping to achieve his clinical results.
His continuing education coursework has included study of the Tung family lineage style of acupuncture with Richard Tan, Brad Whisnant, and Henry McCann and food medicine (Chinese & Western Nutrition) with Dr. Ardeschir Mehrabani, NMD, Noemi Quintanar, NMD, RM, MT, and Dr. Marlene Merritt, LAc, DOM, MS Nutrition. Lisa is also certified in Auricular Acupuncture through the Auriculotherapy Certification Institute, Inc. Lisa studied Biology and Chemistry to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and also has a Master of Business Administration from Averett University.
Prior to attending acupuncture school Lisa worked for almost 20 years in the Federal Reserve System, and during that time realized that she wanted to spend her time working in a profession that could touch more people’s lives in a way that they could really appreciate. I have been involved in the health and nutrition field for over twenty years. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and went on to study Naturopathic and Chinese medicine at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. After completing the six-year post-graduate program, I received a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. I am a board certified Naturopathic Doctor and am licensed in the state of Oregon as a primary care provider. I hold an additional board certification in naturopathic oncology.
