Acupuncture treatments range from a spa-like soothing experience to something comparable to a tissue massage. I will choose the techniques I employ based on your illness or injury and your mindset. I have been interested in Oriental Medicine for over 20 years and have incorporated acupressure, shiatsu and acupuncture in my previous massage and chiropractic practices. Since finishing my studies at the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute and moving to Glens Falls, I have concentrated on acupuncture although I draw on my previous experience to help patients. I feel that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is more than just acupuncture but a way of life that includes exercise, diet and mental outlook. Acupuncture is a powerful tool that allows people to deal with the stresses of everyday living: work, family, aging relatives, what's going on in the world. Addressing all these demands takes a toll; TCM and acupuncture gives people a mechanism to heal themselves and a place where they can begin to bring balance back into their lives.

I enjoy using my experience to work with patients so they can enjoy living and be less burdened down by the demands of their life.

David Foster is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in Traditional Chinese Medicine, specializing in the treatment of neurological and autoimmune conditions. He earned his Master's degree from Pacific College in 2013, apprenticed for two years under Dr. Frank Butler, studying “Zheng Gui Tui Na” massage, then an additional year with Dr. Clayton Shiu, studying the “Xing Nao Kai Qiao” technique to treat cerebrovascular disorders. Most recently he completed Botanical Biohacking’s Microbiome Mastery course. David holds a black belt in shorin ry’u karate and spent 15 years doing stand-up comedy. His passions include yoga, creative writing and old school hip hop, and he can also accept patients who speak Spanish only.

Poke Acupuncture was founded by Ryan Samuels and Lani Stokes, a dedicated husband-and-wife team with a passion for holistic healing. With their extensive training and vast experience, both Ryan and Lani are accredited practitioners, bringing over 10 years of expertise to their practice.

Lani Stokes has honed her skills in the field of pregnancy and fertility acupuncture, making her a specialist in this area. On the other hand, Ryan Samuels focuses his practice on chronic pain relief, neurological conditions, and menopause. With a compassionate approach, Ryan is dedicated to helping individuals alleviate their chronic pain and manage conditions related to the nervous system.
