A Sarasota resident since 1996 Ms. Bociek had suffered for years from disabling pain and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. After exhausting Western medical treatment she turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She has since been living drug and pain free. This personal experience gives her a unique understanding of the physical, mental and financial toll an illness can take.
A native of Massachusetts, Kim Bociek received her B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Licensed since 1991, Brenda Loew is an adjunct faculty member at Bastyr Center for Natural Health and she teaches Japanese acupuncture seminars at various venues throughout the U.S. and Canada. She sees patients in her private family practice in Seattle, is an authorized Toyohari Meridian Therapy Instructor, a co-founder and instructor for the Japanese Acupuncture Institute, and co-founded and volunteers at Seattle Acupuncture for Veterans Clinic [a free clinic].
