Lindsay Trottier, DACM L.Ac. is a board-certified acupuncturist and doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine practicing in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Trottier first entered the profession of health and wellness as a certified personal trainer and then as a receptionist in an acupuncture clinic. As a competitive student-athlete, Dr Trottier has always been interested in functional movement and healthy recovery. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she was inspired to begin her training in acupuncture and herbal medicine. In 2015, Dr. Trottier began an apprenticeship with Eileen Han to extend her knowledge of the Balance Method acupuncture made famous by Dr. Richard Tan.
Dr. Trottier has experience helping patients of all ages with sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, digestive complaints, women’s health issues, pre- and post-natal care, cancer-treatment side effects, mental-emotional health, and people with developmental and acquired disabilities.
Her training includes working with NCAA athletes at the UCSD RIMAC center, supporting patients undergoing treatment for various cancers at the UCSD Cancer Center in Encinitas and Rady's Children's Hospital, and caring for children admitted to the Helen Bernardy Center for Medically Fragile Children.
In 2019, Dr. Trottier completed her BaZi Consultant Certification through The Academy of Acupuncture, and now incorporates this understanding of chronoanalysis into her acupuncture practice and also offers virtual consultations to people around the world.

I am also a Registered Nurse with 23 years of clinical experience in local NH hospitals in various specialties such as cardiac, orthopedic, acute and chronic disease, psychology, maternity and preventative care.
I completed my extensive education and training in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine culminating in a Masters Degree in Acupuncture through the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) in Newton, MA.
As an Intern, I practiced Acupuncture at New England School of Acupuncture Teaching Center Clinic, Boston Medical Center Family outpatient center, Winchester Hospital Family Medical Center, Malden Family Medicine Center and Element Care in Lynn, Mass. Abigail obtained her Bachelors of Science from the University of Maine. She continued on to earn her Masters in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture. Abigail is trained in both Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles, Orthopedic acupuncture, and Shakuju. With this range of treatment styles, she is able to meet a broad range of patient needs. Whether you have a stubborn musculoskeletal complaint, or are overcome with anxiety, whether you are a seasoned acupuncture patient or are terrified of needles, she will be able to offer you a variety of treatment plan options (even non-insertive techniques!).
With a passion for further education, Abigail is currently working towards her Masters of Science in Pain Research, Education, and Policy through Tufts University School of Medicine. Using Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, lifestyle modification, and her Western medical training, Abigail supports the release and management of both physical and emotional pain.
