At Acupuncture Pain and Stress Center, my goal is to give you effective perceivable results. I will employ different acupuncture and bodywork techniques depending on the health issues you face. Cathy’s journey in the healing arts began at the tender age of 9, exploring martial arts such as Wing Chun Kung Fu, Qigong, and Tai Chi. This early fascination with body mechanics and movement naturally led her into a career in holistic therapies.

Her Shiatsu journey began in 2014 at the Shiatsu College Hastings, where she graduated in 2017 as the youngest practitioner in her cohort. Cathy’s practice is rooted in the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and she continuously expands her knowledge to provide the best care for her clients.

In 2020, Cathy founded Nixon Acupuncture, Shiatsu & Qigong in Rugby, Warwickshire—a tranquil studio offering personalized treatments that combine ancient wisdom with modern techniques.

Her internship began at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2005, after graduation in 2008 she went into private practice treating a wide range of ages and health concerns. She holds a national diplomatic certificate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as well as a California, Ohio and Illinois state license. She has recently moved to Chicago to open a private practice and looks forward to providing the best patient care possible and to becoming a productive member of the West Loop community.
