may I take a little of your time to tell you a little of my story? If you answered yes, read on. My introduction to acupuncture was due to a traumatic accident about twenty-two years ago. I injured my left neck/shoulder/arm and sciatic nerve in 1993 so I could not work as an EMT because I could not lift any thing heavier than a loaf of bread. After trying allopathic medicine for a year, the doctors told me that I would never heal so just learn to live with what left arm and leg movement remained. That's when I decided to try massage school. My injuries did start to heal with daily treatments over a years time but I wanted more pain relief and more strength in my arm and leg so I did more research and decided to start acupuncture school. That turned out to be the best decision of my life. Not only did my left arm and leg get well and pain free, (the muscles that had atrophied returned to their pre injury size) and best of all my pain was gone! The biggest blessing of all was that I found my life's passion. I became an acupuncturist and herbalist to share this healing art with my family and friends. I wake up every day and look forward to serving my community as their favorite health care provider. If you are in my area you are welcome to stop by and visit. Jennifer E. Winer L.Ac. graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Minnesota State University at Mankato in 1998. She worked in the financial field before returning to school to study Oriental medicine in 2000. Jennifer made the decision to pursue a career in Oriental medicine after experiencing chronic pain and trying all of the traditional therapies available without any success. She believed there had to be alternative options for medical care and wanted to help others. Jennifer had some acupuncture for her Chronic pain and it worked! She made it her life's mission to help as many people as she can with this amazing medicine.
She received her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine, WI on October 4, 2003. During graduate school, Jennifer studied abroad at the Training Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Guangzhou, China and received a certificate in the Advanced Course of Acupuncture of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Jennifer is licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin and is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is clean-needle technique certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
