Alameda Acupuncture is a group of Traditional Chinese Medical practitioners led by Dr. John Nieters, L.Ac. DAOM. Our practitioners work cooperatively and coordinate care. Our patients have the option to come in six days a week including some evenings and know that we can provide care a moment's notice. This is especially helpful with urgent care orthopedics, colds and flu and in integrative fertility treatments. Born and raised in Denver Colorado Jamie received her Masters degree in traditional Chinese acupuncture from The Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2018. She is also a licensed massage therapist and certified Pilates instructor. Combining her acupuncture training with her 20 plus years of experience in massage therapy, she specializes in treating pain and musculoskeletal dysfunction. She also has a passion for helping women with gynecological health.

Elizabeth is a registered acupuncturist in Michigan with a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine from World Medicine Institute in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is also a Nationally Certified Diplomate in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). She has training in Taoist and Chinese styles of acupuncture as well as Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, and qi gong. Liz has recently gotten additional training in Namdrudipad's Allergy Elimination Techniques (NAET). Liz believes in the power of the body to heal itself and that acupuncture is an excellent way to facilitate our own health.

Wellness One of South Bergen is pleased to have two advanced acupuncturists on staff - Michael Y. Ng, L.Ac., Dipl. Acupuncture and Shannon DiCarlo, MS RN LAc, Dipl. OM.

Michael Y. Ng, L.Ac., Dipl. Acupuncture, studied Acupuncture at the Swedish School of Acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy at the Eastern School of Oriental Medicine, and received classical training from world master Jeffrey Yuen. He comes from a family of Chinese medical doctors and follows his family tradition in Chinese medicine.

Michael cares for a variety of patients of all ages and needs for both acute and chronic health concerns. He is dedicated to the patient’s needs as he employs a variety of modalities in addition to acupuncture including cupping, guasha and moxabustion, as well as employing Chinese herbs. He is licensed in both New Jersey and New York.

In addition to his acupuncture and Eastern medicine education and training, Michael holds an M.B.A from Duke University.

Michael has appointment availability during weekdays and evenings as well as on Saturday mornings.
