After working the past 20 years as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of healthcare settings from hospital based rehabilitation clinics to home care service, I became interested in approaching healing from a different perspective in order to help people become empowered about their health on all levels. Karen Lang, MSW, LAc is a graduate of Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine and a nationally certified acupuncturist.
As a classically trained acupuncturist Karen crafts individual treatment plans to help each patient achieve his or her own health goals. Using acupuncture and other Chinese Medicine modalities, Karen collaborates with patients to re-establish their body’s natural ability to thrive.
Karen’s background is in social work. She spent the past 20 years working in sexual assault response and prevention at local, state and national levels. Seeking a more holistic approach to facilitating health and well-being Karen was drawn to study acupuncture. Karen is also an avid runner and cyclist and has found acupuncture to be an important tool for staying healthy, recovering quickly and resolving strains, sprains and other injuries.
