Victor Cheng, L. Ac. is a California Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. He graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(上海中醫藥大學). In his six years in Shanghai, he studied four years in classes and labs covering both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine. He spent the last two years at Shuguang Hospital(曙光醫院), the first TCM hospital in China and one of the three Level III TCM hospitals, rotating through various specialties. In Shanghai, he took and passed the National Medical Exam in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is also licensed in China.
Victor was born in the US but spent part of his childhood in Taiwan, therefore he is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English. He developed an interest in Chinese Medicine early age seeing his grandmother curing family members with simple home remedies. He went on to study at UC Berkeley and received a Bachelor degree. After college, he began studying Buddhism and volunteered a year teaching Chinese at Developing Virtue Secondary School in the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas. Afterwards, he interned one year at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine. In Shanghai, he studied under many renown TCM professors. He is interested in Internal Medicine with an emphasis on healthy diet and exercises.

Tessa Olson, Ma.O.M., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. practices acupuncture in Columbus, Ohio.
My first experience with acupuncture came in 2002. My dog, Milo, was struggling with arthritis in his legs, so I took him to my vet for treatment. The results for my 110 pound dog were amazing; Milo ran around like a puppy and was able to get in the car again by himself. I had developed an interest in natural health while living in Eugene, Oregon for 6 years, but wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do. After seeing the results for Milo, acupuncture became my interest and passion.
Tessa received a master’s degree with honors in Oriental Medicine -- specializing in acupuncture and Chinese herbs -- from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, MN. She is board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio. Her prior experience includes work at Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis with an Integrated Therapy Team – including reflexologists, music therapists, massage therapists, and aromatherapists. At Abbott Hospital, Tessa treated patients recovering from orthopedic surgery and also helped prepare patients for surgery. While at the Courage Center in Minneapolis, she treated patients recovering from stroke or paralysis. Tessa also worked at the Edith Davis Clinic in Bloomington, MN.
Tessa feels like we live in a society that is too fast-paced and stressful; acupuncture and Chinese medicine helps us to slow down, pause, heal, and reset ourselves. She is drawn to Chinese medicine because it provides individualized medicine based on the unique needs of a person. In 2002, Phil realised that there were strong correlations with the underlying health problems of his patients and the pre-existing surgical or accidental scar tissue elsewhere on the patient’s body. This scarring would cross meridians which clearly demonstrated a solid link to their overall lack of health, some refer to this as Sho. Consequently, Phil discovered and developed a range of techniques using the “Yanagishita” teishin, a gold teishin, or Shi Zhen which is mentioned in the Miraculous Pivot & the Suwen, it is one of the 9 classical needles.
As a result, this amazing technique quickly reduces any form of scar tissue, including keloids, from a severe hindrance of reduced conductivity to enabling the free flow of Ki, so that the scarred skin more closely resembled the surrounding skin tissue reverting to it’s natural skin colour. The damaged tissue was revitalised in the affected area and had regained the lost tactile sensations and reduced the size and malformation of the damaged site.This resulted in a workshop presentation at the 2007 AACMAC in Brisbane.
Philip is conducting Scar Rejuvenation training workshops in Europe, Ireland & the UK in 2014. The USA workshops are being planned for 2015.
