Sarah became interested in acupuncture as a career during high school. She chose to study physiology at the Lyman Brigg's School of Michigan State University. After undergrad, Sarah continued her education at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR. She spent 3 full years learning Chinese Medicine, including anatomy, physiology, Chinese medical theory, western pathology, acupuncture, Chinese herbology, nutrition, shiatsu massage, taichi,
and qigong. She also completed a 1 year internship in her last year of school, where she studied under both Chinese and Western acupuncturists and herbalists. She completed her qigong training with a certification to teach 1000 Hands Buddha Qigong.

These include Chinese medical theory, the treatment of stress, anxiety, and pain, women's health, GI disorders and allergies. She has studied balance method with Dr. Tan, the Mei Zen Cosmetic acupuncture system, the Battlefield Acupuncture protocol for pain management and Chinese language. Most recently she has completed a 3 weekend intensive training in Sports Medicine Acupuncture and is working on completing the ABORM exam for certification in reproductive medicine.

Karen Lang, MSW, LAc is a graduate of Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine and a nationally certified acupuncturist.
As a classically trained acupuncturist Karen crafts individual treatment plans to help each patient achieve his or her own health goals. Using acupuncture and other Chinese Medicine modalities, Karen collaborates with patients to re-establish their body’s natural ability to thrive.
Karen’s background is in social work. She spent the past 20 years working in sexual assault response and prevention at local, state and national levels. She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, (NCCAOM) a national organization established to regulate the practice of acupuncture. She is also a licensed DOM in Florida.
Tamara has been accepted as a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. ABORM practitioners have demonstrated competency and advanced knowledge in the field of both Western and Oriental Reproductive Medicine by attending specialized training and passing a rigorous advanced certification examination. The services provided at Integrative Acupuncture integrate approaches from East and West to optimize patient outcomes. “My intent is to work with patients and their physicians to support and complement their IUI and IVF cycles. Sandy Root, AP, L.Ac., MSTOM, a FL & NY State Licensed Acupuncturist, graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York with her Master’s in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2009.
Sandy had clinical experience practicing acupuncture at the Saint Vincent’s Hospital -HIV Clinic, the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases – Initiative for Women with Disabilities, NYU Medical Center, and Pacific College Acupuncture Clinic, and now her own practice in Miami Beach, FL.
