Lindsay Trottier, DACM L.Ac. is a board-certified acupuncturist and doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine practicing in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Trottier first entered the profession of health and wellness as a certified personal trainer and then as a receptionist in an acupuncture clinic. As a competitive student-athlete, Dr Trottier has always been interested in functional movement and healthy recovery. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she was inspired to begin her training in acupuncture and herbal medicine. In 2015, Dr. Trottier began an apprenticeship with Eileen Han to extend her knowledge of the Balance Method acupuncture made famous by Dr. Richard Tan.
Dr. Trottier has experience helping patients of all ages with sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, digestive complaints, women’s health issues, pre- and post-natal care, cancer-treatment side effects, mental-emotional health, and people with developmental and acquired disabilities.
Her training includes working with NCAA athletes at the UCSD RIMAC center, supporting patients undergoing treatment for various cancers at the UCSD Cancer Center in Encinitas and Rady's Children's Hospital, and caring for children admitted to the Helen Bernardy Center for Medically Fragile Children.
In 2019, Dr. Trottier completed her BaZi Consultant Certification through The Academy of Acupuncture, and now incorporates this understanding of chronoanalysis into her acupuncture practice and also offers virtual consultations to people around the world.

may I take a little of your time to tell you a little of my story? If you answered yes, read on. My introduction to acupuncture was due to a traumatic accident about twenty-two years ago. I injured my left neck/shoulder/arm and sciatic nerve in 1993 so I could not work as an EMT because I could not lift any thing heavier than a loaf of bread. After trying allopathic medicine for a year, the doctors told me that I would never heal so just learn to live with what left arm and leg movement remained. That's when I decided to try massage school. My injuries did start to heal with daily treatments over a years time but I wanted more pain relief and more strength in my arm and leg so I did more research and decided to start acupuncture school. That turned out to be the best decision of my life. Not only did my left arm and leg get well and pain free, (the muscles that had atrophied returned to their pre injury size) and best of all my pain was gone! The biggest blessing of all was that I found my life's passion. I became an acupuncturist and herbalist to share this healing art with my family and friends. Xilin F. Jordan is a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine, holding an NCCAOM diploma, and licensed in three states. She was born and primarily trained in China, and completed four years of further study in Oriental medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, where she earned her American degrees and expanded her knowledge of Western medicine as well. In addition, Dr. Jordan absolved a personal apprenticeship with the noted acupuncturist Dr. Zhang Zheng Hai in China, where she continues periodically to work in teams with other doctors at hospitals in Zhu Hai, Shijiazhuang and Nantong, treating conditions such as post-stroke syndromes, Bell’s palsy, muscular disorders, head, back, neck, shoulder and wrist pain, and various chronic diseases.
