Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic is led by Dr. Li Zheng and Dr. Changhong Zhou, two acupuncturists who received their training from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, the most prestigious school for traditional Chinese medicine in China. They received PhDs in biomedical sciences from the Medical College of Ohio and were post-doctoral fellows in the Harvard Medical School system. In addition, Dr. Zhou and Zheng apprenticed with Dr. Shaoqin Zhao, a world-recognized practitioner of Chinese medicine. My journey as a Chinese Medicine Practitioner started in 1994 when I met a monk in Taiwan who taught me about meditation, cleansing, food healing, calligraphy and Chinese health practices. For 10 years, I travelled around the world studying natural healing and classical Asian martial arts from various masters, healers and schools.
I graduated from the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in British Columbia with a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, modelled after the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine curriculum.
I’ve been in clinic practice for over 10 years in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. I am a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medical Practitioners and Acupuncturists in Ontario under the following number: 2807. I currently see patients at The Village Clinic in Westboro.
I teach weekly Qigong and Chen Style Tai Chi classes at Aylmer Qigong and Tai Chi and I hold regular at workshops, lectures, webinars and events on health and well-being.
I also lecture and write on child developmental psychology and behaviour using traditional Chinese medicine. I am the author of the book Democratic Parenting and the creator of The ADHD Transformation Program.
