Poke Acupuncture was founded by Ryan Samuels and Lani Stokes, a dedicated husband-and-wife team with a passion for holistic healing. With their extensive training and vast experience, both Ryan and Lani are accredited practitioners, bringing over 10 years of expertise to their practice.

Lani Stokes has honed her skills in the field of pregnancy and fertility acupuncture, making her a specialist in this area. On the other hand, Ryan Samuels focuses his practice on chronic pain relief, neurological conditions, and menopause. With a compassionate approach, Ryan is dedicated to helping individuals alleviate their chronic pain and manage conditions related to the nervous system.

True to Life Wellness is an Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine practice located in Freeport, Maine, founded and led by Sharon Sherman, L.Ac. Sharon is a Board Certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (NCBAHM) with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine earned with honors from Tri-State College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in New York City. She has been practicing full time since 2001, including over 24 years leading a clinic in Philadelphia, where she also served as Acupuncture Consult Staff at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation Hospital and as a faculty member at the Won Institute.
Sharon takes a collaborative, individualized approach to care — treatment begins with the whole person, informed by their history, constitution, and personal definition of wellness. Services include acupuncture, custom-formulated Chinese herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and dietary recommendations grounded in East Asian medicine principles.
Conditions addressed include acute and chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, headaches and migraines, digestive concerns, stress and depression, reproductive health, autoimmune and degenerative conditions, and supportive cancer care.

I am an Acupuncturist and Herbalist accustomed to treating a wide variety of conditions ranging from chronic and acute pain, to allergies, to hormonal imbalances associated with menopause and autoimmune disorders, to palliative care for cancer patients, as well as insomnia and anxiety. My main goal is to provide thorough, yet gentle patient-centered care regardless of age or ailment.
I utilize a variety of techniques in each session such as Gua Sha, Cupping, Auriculotherapy, Electroacupuncture, Moxabustion, TuiNa bodywork, Passive stretching, Eastern nutritional and lifestyle advice, and herbal therapy.
